Coming from a small town, Prahlad overcame challenges to successfully open three institutes and a school in a city like Udaipur. He earned recognition from Dainik Bhaskar and Rajasthan Patrika, receiving awards such as Best Shikshak, Best Media Partner, Best Computer Institute, and Best Accountancy Institute in Rajasthan for his educational contributions.

Prahlad Singh Rao is the Director of VIT Computer Education. He manages two additional institutes and also runs a school, the VIT School in Udaipur.

Hailing from a small village in Rajsamand, he attended a government school and balanced his studies with household chores. He remembers carrying the milk container and supplying milk on his way to school and working on the farm after coming back from school. With limited time for studies, he primarily focused on studies during the night until his father returned from work.

After completing his schooling, Prahlad enrolled at B.N. College in Udaipur, fulfilling his mother's wish for him to explore beyond his hometown. Facing financial constraints, he initially stayed with his cousin and later moved into a hostel. His family's financial struggles taught him the value of money, leading him to save diligently.

After completing his graduation, Prahlad pursued a six-month computer diploma at C-DAC, Indore. However, the entire course was taught in English, and it was a bit difficult for him to understand everything. Coming back to Udaipur, he started teaching computers in several private institutes while preparing for entrance exams like the ones for IAS, RAS, CDS, Defense, and the Railways. Despite three years of attempts, he couldn't pass the government exams due to a lack of guidance.

A partnership offer to open a computer class marked a turning point in his life, leading him to invest and eventually establish his own institute in 2006. For that, he invested seventy thousand rupees, for which he took a loan from his brother-in-law. He handled all the work of the institute and lived in the same institute, but due to some conflict with his partner, he left the institute and opened his own class in 2006, gradually increasing the staff.

After one and a half years, he opened another branch of the institute. He started another institute, the IBA, for coaching in accounting, marketing, and import and export, and then started giving franchises to cover all the areas in the state.

Prahlad shares that today he has three institutes in Udaipur where he offers all types of computer courses, from basic to advanced, including designing, accounting, web designing, software development, DCA, PGDCA, and an MSc in Computer Science. His main objective was to make the young generation proficient in the latest technology and instill responsibility and accountability in them so that they could make the best use of their abilities for the growth of our country.

Later, he got the idea to start a school where he could connect with the young generation at their tender age and work on their ethics and values. Even while opening the school, he faced several challenges. The owner of the school building told him to vacate the building between sessions, so he had to buy the nearby land and construct a building for the school.

Recognized by media outlets like Dainik Bhaskar and Rajasthan Patrika, he has received awards such as Best Shikshak, Best Media Partner, Best Computer Institute, and Best Accountancy Institute in Rajasthan. Prahlad considers the respect from society to be his most significant achievement.

When asked about his role models, Prahlad says that his parents have always supported him and are his inspiration. He remembers his father’s saying, "Why be afraid of what will happen in life? Even if you fail, there will be a new experience in life." His wife and family have been a support system for him throughout his career. He advises that one should not avoid making important decisions just out of fear.

To all those who want to pursue the education field, Prahlad advises them to enter the field only if they have the fire within them to work and dedicate themselves to the future of students and society.

Comparing education and experience, Prahlad says he believes that education matters, but there is no match for what experience can make you learn. Experience helps one gain practical knowledge, which helps one face the real world.

To all the youngsters, Prahlad advises them to value time and use social media productively. To the parents, he advises them to not be overprotective of their children, give them the freedom to make their own decisions, and guide them wisely where they actually need their guidance.
