With a desire to spread awareness of the Sanskrit language, Poonam has been working passionately in a leading school motivating her students to learn and understand the importance of Sanskrit, the mother of all languages.

Poonam Paliwal is working at Rockwoods High School, Udaipur as a Sanskrit teacher.

Poonam was born in Nathdwara and brought up in Udaipur. She did her schooling at St. Teresa Senior Secondary School and college education at MG college in Udaipur itself.

Talking about struggles in her life, Poonam says that she got married before her 12th exam. After giving the 12th class exam, she decided that she would never study further due to increased family responsibilities. But her in-laws motivated her to study. After a gap of one year, she did B.A. and M.A. in regular mode. Then she did B.Ed and M.Ed and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Sanskrit. Poonam feels proud that she has crossed all the hurdles and taken education for a better future.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Poonam says that both are equally important. She feels that only education cannot support us to its fullest. As soon as we enter the field, our experience utilizes our education and helps us to achieve new heights.

When asked about role models in her life, Poonam says that she considers her sister as her role model who always motivates her to move ahead.

If a Time Machine is given to her, Poonam would like to relive her college life and enjoy it because she was unable to enjoy that life, she says.

Sharing her Covid experience, Poonam says that those two years were full of struggles and depression for her. It was so because they could not shut down their family business but were constantly worried about how to keep themselves protected from infection. Poonam says that the online classes started by Rockwoods reduced their stress and the time passed away quickly, says Poonam.

To the students, Poonam advises them that they should do their work and never think about the results. Success will automatically come back to them, says Poonam. She feels that the world is changing and progressing by leaps and bounds. So she further advises the students to become competitive and be ahead in the world of competitions.
