A celebrity costume designer, Pooja has designed for TV shows, YouTube advertisements, and celebrities. Acclaimed celebrities like Jahnvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria, and Malaika Arora have all been styled by her.

Pooja Parik is a celebrity costume designer who has designed clothes for some big names of the TV and Film industry.

Looking back on her professional journey, Pooja tells us that she started out working for The Aditya Birla Group as a visual merchandiser. She subsequently joined a celebrity fashion team, eventually rising to the position of team head. She has spent the last seven years in this industry.

Pooja is originally from Siliguri, a town in West Bengal. She remembers her early years and how she was always drawn towards fashion. Conversely, her early years were marred by psychological distress caused by some loved ones and acquaintances. She carried her fears and angst into her adolescence because she was an exceedingly shy child. Pooja's strong belief in the adage "Where there is a will, there is a way" helped her land a job as a fashion salesperson for Amazon in Mumbai.

Recalling her hardships, Pooja shares that her relatives pushed her to get married and raise a family as soon as she went back to her hometown. She experienced severe anxiety and sadness as a result. With her mother's help, Pooja, the warrior that she is, successfully navigated through this stage. Following her recuperation from this challenging moment, Pooja decided to work and take care of her parents. She was able to display her skills and receive an offer from renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani thanks to her adept networking skills, particularly on social media. As her career progressed, she had the opportunity to style Malaika Arora for one of her projects. Pooja experienced extraordinary achievement and progress throughout this time.

Reflecting on the mistakes she's made, Pooja regrets not seizing every chance that came her way and her habit of  comparing herself to others. She encourages everyone to follow their own paths of self-improvement without making comparisons, having learned from her mistakes. She also makes the case for the importance of teamwork. She also stresses the benefits of yoga, spending time in nature, and taking pauses for stress relief. "My faith is bigger than my fears" is what she firmly thinks.

Pooja responds that her mother serves as one of her role models when asked about her role models. Her mother helped her pull out of sadness and has been a huge source of support for her at difficult times. She also views Rajvi Shah, a coworker with whom she collaborated, as her professional mentor.  Pooja also considers her husband Abhishek Patil as her strength and support as he has always guided her towards the right path.

Pooja advises  aspiring stylists to have patience and to be perseverant. They should approach their job with optimism and positivity. She further advises them to be mindful and leverage every opportunity that comes their way. She concludes that it is important to be yourself and carve your niche.
