Pooja Nautiyal, a Yoga Instructor Who Developed a Strong Attachment to Yoga After It Helped Her Deal with Mental and Physical Issues

Pooja found solace in yoga after her divorce. Her passion for sports and fashion design took a backseat for a while, but yoga brought balance and discipline to her life. Her story is a reminder to never give up and to keep striving for personal growth.

Pooja Nautiyal is a yoga instructor and has been teaching in this field for the last six years.

Pooja hails from the city of Dehradun. She shares that her marriage fell apart after fifteen years, and she got divorced later. This is when she started doing yoga.

Since her childhood, Pooja has been a sports enthusiast. She cherishes her childhood memories as sweet and normal. She has had a great bond with her family and friends. She graduated with a B.Com. degree and did a course in Fashion Design too.

Pooja shares that initially she was not very serious about a career in yoga. She found it effective for her physical and mental issues. Yoga helped her keep control of her emotions, which improved her overall yoga experience. It also made her disciplined and taught her the importance of valuing time and taking more responsibility.

When asked about any mistakes she made in life, Pooja shares that she had a habit of trusting people very easily, but now she is effectively trying to control it. Secondly, she adds that she was irresponsible and did not manage her time properly. But again, she has learned her lessons and is working with discipline now.

Sharing her achievements, Pooja says that starting a yoga center and solving the mental issues of people using yoga are some of her major accomplishments.

Talking about her role models, Pooja says she considers her yoga guru, Anil Kala, as one. He taught her many concepts of yoga as well as the value of time and how to use it productively, and she admires him for teaching her those values.

In her low times, Pooja likes to sit near her plants, meditate, deep breathe, and practice ‘Pranayam.’

Pooja shares her life mantra, which is "Live and let live." She believes in maintaining discipline in life and using her time in the best possible manner.

Advising newcomers to this field, Pooja says that it is important to have a good yoga guru from whom you can learn new things every day.
