Pooja always put her family on priority and lived in different places, switching her jobs until she became a podcaster. Her podcast has gained good popularity in a short span of time.

Pooja belongs to Udaipur and is currently living in Delhi since her marriage. She did her schooling from St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School. She did her B.A from MLSU. Then she did her MBA in Human Resources and soon after her post-graduation, she got married to an army officer.

Reminiscing about her childhood, Pooja says that she had a fun-filled childhood living in a joint family. She had a lot of fun with her cousins and learned many things from her grandparents, which are useful in her life today.

Pooja shares that she was a gold medalist during her MBA. So, she was offered a job as a faculty at the same college, but she turned down that offer considering her family as her priority. She moved to Leh-Ladakh with her husband and subsequently lived in different cities, as per his postings. She did an NTT course, taught in a pre-primary school, and kept on switching her jobs at different places. Also, she had a passion for reading and writing poetry since her college days.

Keeping her passion in mind and inspired by a friend, Pooja started her podcast on Spotify. Through her podcast, she started connecting and interacting with people and got a good response. Consequently, she has completed five episodes of the podcast in just two months, and it is being highly appreciated by people.

Talking about her role models, Pooja says her role models kept on changing with time. At first, she considered her parents as her role models, especially her mother, for always inspiring her to become independent. She also drew inspiration from her school teacher, Miss Mehta, for always pushing her to become a better version of herself.

When asked about her struggles, Pooja says that at the time of starting her podcast, she faced many challenges for not knowing much about the apps and correct platforms to start with. Her second struggle was the choice of words because you can’t see your audience’s reaction in a podcast. Besides, choosing the topic of the podcast, learning new features on different apps, staying updated with the technology, and keeping pace with the digital world, have been no less than a struggle for her.

Regarding her achievements, Pooja says that during her college days, she was elected as the ‘Literary Secretary of the College’, which was a big deal for her. In addition, she was the first ever student to score ninety-nine marks in Statistics in the entire college, which was her biggest accomplishment. Plus, getting a gold medal in MBA was no less than an achievement for her. Besides, being an army officer’s wife makes her feel proud and it is her biggest achievement.

During the COVID pandemic, Pooja says like everyone else, she was also in shock and scared about the future. But with time, she normalized. She says she took online economics classes. She also spent a good time with her family and tried to balance the roles defined by society.

According to Pooja, education is most vital to make a career. She believes that your talent and education make you wise, whether you work or not. She adds that education is the first step in building your career and then your experience takes you to your destination.

In her spare time, Pooja enjoys dancing and getting her photos clicked. She also likes to go on long walks and keep herself physically fit.

Pooja believes that today’s youth is far more creative, brilliant, talented, hardworking, and aware of their future. So, if anyone is interested in becoming a podcaster, she suggests that they should have a good command of their language. Further, she says that always read about your topic before putting it forward in your podcast, to have clarity on that topic.
