Pawan is from the field of Music and feels that this field should not be opted by anyone for only quick success and fame. It requires hard work and dedication to be successful in this field.

Pawan Kumar Sharma is a Music Teacher and founder of Jagatpura Music Academy in Jaipur.

Pawan comes from a small village which falls in the Alwar-Sariska range and has done his initial schooling from his village itself. He shifted to Jaipur for his Secondary and Senior Secondary and after completing his schooling, joined Rajasthan University to learn Music.

Pawan says that he always had an interest in the Music field. In school, he used to participate in music competitions. However, he always had Kishore Kumar in his mind while thinking about music but in college, the initial focus was on classical music which was a tough nut to crack for him. However, with his grit and determination, Pawan got a hold on classical singing. After graduation, he pursued his post-graduation in the field of Music and also cleared the NET examination. After learning Music for six years, he thought of starting his own Academy.

Pawan says that his family always supported him but presenting it as a real job to others was a tough task for them. Society does not consider it as a real career and hence never took Pawan seriously. However, he is thankful for the support of his family.

Pawan feels that there is nothing more effective than Music when it comes to relieving stress. It helps in calming down our emotions.

Pawan shares that while he was good at singing, he had no expertise in playing any instrument like Harmonium which was acting as a roadblock in his career. One day he came across a local street singer, Rajesh Gautam, and was so inspired by him that Pawan made him his Guru. Rajesh taught Pawan to play lead Harmonium and Pawan says that he was turned into an Artist by his Guru only.

Pawan feels that the field of music should not be opted only for money or fame. It is a field that requires a lot of hard work and patience. It is like a ‘Tapasya’ and ‘Sadhana’ according to Pawan. He also shares the incident when a special child came to his Academy and how Pawan in just three months was able to teach that child to sing full songs. It was a big achievement for Pawan.

Pawan says that there are many opportunities in this field. From government jobs to reality shows and teaching in music academies, one can guide their career as they want.

In his free time, Pawan likes to play with kids and watch Cartoon shows.
