Parul Patel has proved herself as a passionate bike rider and skilled sports person having competed at the state level in badminton. Alongside her passion for bike riding, she is  a dedicated social worker committed to inspiring and empowering women to follow their dreams.

Parul Patel is an Adventure Enthusiast from Bharuch, Gujarat who has proven herself as a Female Bike Rider.  Challenging societal biases, 51-year-old Parul had always had a passion for adventure and sports.

Patel shares that when she rides in her full riding gear, there’s no visible difference between male and female riders, as the gear conceals gender. However, the moment she takes off her helmet, people often approach her to discuss the bike, her riding speed, and other aspects of her life. These interactions, she says, make her feel accomplished, as she is able to break societal norms and create a positive impact, showing that women can excel in areas traditionally dominated by men.

Bikerider Parul Patel is also a social worker working towards women empowerment. She also inspires and encourages young girls and women to ride bikes if they want to, by giving her own example stating that if she can ride bikes at this age then they surely can too. She also invites them for bike riding. She invites the women of Gujarat to join her in bike riding, sharing that if she, a mother of three at the age of 51, can ride motorcycles, then any woman can do it .

Parul Patel further emphasizes that she is always open to offering guidance and support to girls and women regarding their careers and life choices. She encourages them to reach out to her for advice or assistance.

Parul Patel is not only a passionate biker but also a talented athlete. She is a state-level badminton champion and was actively involved in various sports during her school days. Alongside badminton, she also played cricket, hockey, and traditional games like kho-kho.

Parul Patel was born in Hyderabad and studied there until the 7th grade before settling in Gujarat, where she completed her education.

From a young age, Parul was actively involved in various sports and was known for her playful and energetic nature. During her college days, she became fascinated by bikes and often wondered when she would get the chance to ride one, a passion she eventually pursued.

She shares that, besides biking, cricket has always been her favorite sport. Reflecting on her childhood, Parul recalls that during her time, there were limited facilities for female athletes, and very few girls played cricket. Due to this, she often had to play with boys, who would tease her. However, she never let their comments affect her and chose to ignore them, focusing instead on her love for the game.

Reflecting on her life, Parul acknowledges the challenges and transformations she has experienced over the years. She shares that while she was in her younger years, she did not know in which field to pursue her career but with time and experience, Parul has shaped her understanding of life, allowing her to grow and evolve. Through all life’s ups and downs, she remains grateful for the unwavering support she got from her family.

After completing her studies, Parul Patel had a love marriage. At that time, she only used to ride scooters, but her husband encouraged her to pursue her passion for biking. He not only taught her how to ride a bike but also motivated her to move forward in life, often telling her, "If I can do my work, you can also do yours."

Her husband, who is actively involved in the field of cricket as a coach and selector, has been a pillar of support in her Life, inspiring her to embrace new challenges and follow her dreams.

Woman Biker Parul Patel encourages women to pursue their dreams without letting age be a barrier. She emphasizes that everyone makes mistakes, but the key is to learn from them and grow.

Sharing her own experiences, Parul Patel recalls how she initially ignored her husband's encouragement to manage the business alongside him, not considering it important at the time. However, she later realized that achieving growth in life required effort and dedication. With this newfound understanding, she started accompanying her husband to every meeting, actively participating in their shared path.

Parul further highlights that to accomplish something meaningful, one must also reflect on the past, learn from experiences, and use them as stepping stones toward success.

Passionate Biker Parul Patel further states that society will always have something to say, often creating negativity and gossip. However, she believes that one should focus on achieving success to the point where the same society begins to praise and appreciate you.

Parul Patel emphasizes the importance of self-growth and determination, encouraging individuals to become so competent and accomplished that society finds no room for negativity. Instead of being influenced by opinions of others, she urges people to focus on their goals and prove their worth through their achievements.

When asked about her role models, Parul Patel says, before her marriage, she considered her father as her role model, as he supported her education and encouraged her to think about success and self-growth. After marriage, her husband became her guiding force, inspiring her to push her limits.

It was in 1996 when Parul’s husband encouraged her to ride a bike for the first time. From that moment on, she never looked back and has since ridden multiple bikes, embracing her passion wholeheartedly.

Drawing from her own experiences, Parul firmly believes that having a supportive husband can make a significant difference in a woman’s life. She emphasizes that one can achieve anything with the right encouragement and belief.

Parul Patel acknowledges the positive changes in society, stating that today, there are far more facilities and opportunities available, especially for women. She believes that people’s mindsets have evolved, becoming more open and supportive, which has paved the way for women to confidently pursue their dreams and passions.

Whether it’s bike riding, sports, the merchant navy, or any other field, she encourages women to take advantage of these opportunities and break barriers. She firmly believes that with determination and the right support, women can achieve anything they set their minds to.

Parul Patel shares insights into her family, mentioning that her husband is a cricket selector. They have three children, two daughters who have completed their education and also ride bikes and a son who is a cricketer playing in the Under-19 team.

In her personal time, Parul finds comfort in bike riding. Whenever she is alone at home, she puts on her riding gear and embarks on a ride for two to three hours, enjoying her own company. She loves spending time in nature, often taking a break along the way to sip a cup of tea and embracing life.

Parul Patel’s life mantra is simple yet profound:

“You have only got one life, and you don’t know what will happen in the next one. So live your life on your own terms, and live like a bird with freedom and wings.”

She believes in embracing life fully, making the most of every moment, and living freely without being confined by limitations or expectations.
