Parth Patel is a martial arts trainer from Gujarat.
Recalling his childhood, Parth says he belongs to Ahmedabad and spent his childhood there. He completed his education till eighth grade as a day-scholar and from eighth onwards he studied in a boarding school and lived in a hostel. He says as he was very naughty in his childhood, his parents admitted him into a hostel.
Talking about his journey, Parth says that at his hostel, he was quite inclined towards sports activities and it was also mandatory for the students to attend the games period. He learned various sports like Taekwondo, Wrestling, Judo, Kabaddi and many more during his school time. He was also selected to play at the district level in Kabaddi.
Gradually his interest in martial arts grew and then, in the vacations, he joined an institute to get training in martial arts. He started with Wushu in which he played up to the state level and went to Nepal for training. Eventually his performance grew and he went to national and international levels. He also trained at a Shaolin Temple in China for three months. Afterwards, he started coaching youngsters. In the year 2019, he again started his own practice and played at the nationals.
Describing martial arts, Parth says that there are different techniques of martial arts in different countries. Some techniques in martial arts are for self development and some are fighting techniques. The Israel technique of martial arts is also included in army training.
Parth’s life mantra is ‘Win or lose we just have to keep going’.
Advising aspirants to his field, Parth says that anyone can learn martial arts and there is no age limit to it. In its initial stage, people can face the problem of muscle pain. There are different types of martial arts and anyone interested in the field should have proper knowledge about it. Martial arts is helpful in building awareness, good habits, discipline and to make you healthy.
