When asked what inspired him to enter the field of career counseling, Parth Mehta shares that his inspiration to enter the field came from his own personal experience. After completing class 10, he felt confused about choosing the right subjects and about his career path. He realized that many students face the same confusion during this important stage of life. This experience inspired him to enter the field of career guidance. Having faced these challenges himself, Parth Mehta now helps students make informed career decisions with confidence and clarity—providing the guidance he once wished he had.

Parth Mehta offers career counseling services in both online and offline formats. In his offline work, he recently completed the Hindustan Zinc Project, overseeing 30 government schools. As part of this project, he conducted psychometric tests to help students understand their suitability for different careers and provided guidance on how to interpret the results, assisting them in planning a bright future.

He is also involved in a JK Tyre Project in Rajsamand, working with various government schools to guide students in making informed career decisions.

In addition to his offline initiatives, Parth Mehta also organizes online workshops and seminars on career awareness, career planning, skill development, and personality development, reaching a wider audience and helping students make confident, well-informed decisions.

Talking about his early life, Parth Mehta shares that he hails from Udaipur and completed his basic education at Central Academy Senior Secondary School, Sardarpura. He went on to pursue a B.Com degree, followed by an MBA in Human Resources. Although he received training in this field, he soon realized it did not align with his true interests. Driven by curiosity and a desire to find meaningful work, Mehta conducted extensive research and gradually transitioned into career counselling, where he found his true passion.

His passion for guiding students led him to become a Certified Career Counsellor from Boston University, aligned with iDreamCareer, Delhi. He also holds the National Career Development Certification, further strengthening his professional credentials. With strong academic qualifications and professional credibility, Parth Mehta is dedicated to guiding students and helping them make confident and well-informed career decisions.

Parth Mehta further reveals that he had prepared for the UPSC examination for two years, dedicating one year to coaching and another year to self-study. Unfortunately, he was unable to clear the examination, as his score fell just short of the general category cutoff. Recognizing the importance of knowing when to step back, he made a thoughtful decision to move on. With clarity and self-awareness as a career counsellor, he chose to enter the field of professional career guidance and dedicate himself to helping others make informed career decisions.

Talking about his best childhood memories, Parth recalls being more inclined toward sports and exploration rather than academics. He was a national-level hockey player, a state-level volleyball player, and a gold medalist in weightlifting, reflecting his deep passion for sports. His sports background influenced his belief that balancing government exam preparation with athletics could lead to success.

Through sports, he also had the opportunity to play in police lines and alongside police personnel, which helped him build strong connections and friendships with them. These experiences shaped his extroverted personality and strengthened his communication skills. These qualities later played a vital role in his work as a career counsellor that involves understanding students, engaging with them and communicating confidently with large audiences.

Career Counselor Parth Mehta shares that he has many role models in his life, as he draws inspiration from all individuals who began their career with hard work and determination and have now achieved great success. But, he particularly admires Dr. Vikas Divyakirti, the founder of Drishti IAS, a prominent UPSC coaching institute. During his IAS preparation, Parth regularly listened to Dr. Divyakirti’s talks, which continue to inspire him in his personal and professional life, even today.

Furthermore, Parth Mehta is inspired by the saying, “Forget the past and prepare for the future.” He believes in letting go of past mistakes and not being afraid to choose a new path or career.

Talking about his achievements, Parth Mehta shares that one of his major milestones as a career counsellor was visiting several government schools to guide students who were confused about their career paths. The joy he saw on their faces was incredibly rewarding for him. For instance, there was a girl who wanted to pursue UPSC, the same field he was in.

He felt happy to guide her, sharing detailed advice on how to approach UPSC preparation—from start to finish, including what to focus on and when to make key decisions. After the school program ended, she even brought him a chocolate as a token of gratitude. For Parth, her smile and happiness were far more valuable than any monetary reward.

Parth Mehta also proudly shares that so far, he has guided over 6,000 students, a remarkable achievement at just 25 years of age. He feels highly satisfied with this accomplishment.

Parthshala Founder Parth Mehta shares an important message for students: every three months, one should learn a new skill or talent, and don’t just acquire it—use it productively. After mastering one skill, move on to the next. He also suggests to the youth to focus on continuously improving their daily routine, as many young people today have irregular habits, staying up late and waking up late. Further he also recommends students must develop the habit of journaling or recording their thoughts in audio or written form, as this practice can greatly enhance personal growth and support career development.

He emphasizes that, first, you must have a genuine interest in talking to students and understanding their needs. Second, you should have strong research skills, as there are over 1,000 career options, curricula, scholarships, and colleges. Third, being a confident public speaker is essential, being able to communicate clearly with children, students, their parents and larger audiences to offer effective career guidance.
