Through his technical expertise, Parth wishes to transform India’s education sector with the help of technology like 3D Printing.

Parth Agarwal, a Geophysicist by profession, runs a startup company ‘Sarga Additive Manufacturing Private Limited’ that deals in 4.0 technologies like 3D Printing, the Internet of things and Robotics for the education sector. His venture prepares the future workforce from the grassroots level and equips them with the necessary skills that they would require in the coming years.

Parth previously worked at an oil exploration company where he used to get three months off during the monsoon season. During that period, he visited one of his friends’ who is currently his business partner and this is how Sarga evolved. Parth shares that people who are willing to enter the edtech sector must know about the new developments in the education domain like the curriculum framework and how things are being taught at schools. He shares that during the course of his journey, he realized that theoretical learning could be replaced by practical learning with the help of technology.

During his interaction, Parth talks about his technology makers’ space, Sargashala, which means Rachna, that is to create. He believes that with the help of technology, one can create almost anything. He has always wanted to change the thinking of people and has had a consumer-centric mindset. Parth aims to take forward the Make in India initiative for which he will be launching his product Sargashala in the schools at zero investment to make technology accessible to people.

Discussing COVID, Parth shares that his new venture was in some way able to address the problem of Corona. Amid logistics shortage, dearth of medical supply and infected patients, his company Sarga came up with the solution of designing around a thousand face shields with the help of 3D Printing technology. The prototype was soon approved by the official authorities and the requirements of Udaipur Medical Authorities were met. The face shields were then supplied to the Government Medical College, shares Parth.

Talking about leadership qualities, Parth feels that working with people and putting one’s potential in the right direction makes a good leader. Parth as a leader is friendly and approachable with his team members and gives utmost priority to them.

Parth is greatly inspired by his father for his organisational skills which he has imbibed in himself to become a better person. He shares that he has learnt some good qualities from his business partners as well.

Parth’s role model is Richard Branson, whose quotes keep him motivated during hard times. He lists one of them which goes like “You don’t learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over.”
