Hailing from Jodhpur, Parmeshwar Sharma is working as an Executive Chef at Taj Hotels. He has worked at several popular hotels of the group situated in Malaysia, Jodhpur, Pushkar, and is now working in Ajmer.
Parmeshwar completed his school education from Udaipur as his father was posted in Udaipur. He also received his Hotel Management degree from IHMC—The Institute of Hotel Management and Catering, Udaipur.
Remembering his childhood, Parmeshwar says he had spent all his early life in police quarters, as his father was a police officer. He says that growing up in such an environment was fun, as he has learned horseback riding and many other adventure activities that were accessible to him due to his father's profession. Parmeshwar fondly recalls his childhood time spent having fun with his friends and family.
Looking at his culinary skills and interest, Parmeshwar was encouraged to join the hotel industry by his father's friend, who was a general manager at a five-star hotel in Udaipur. Parmeshwar took this advice to heart and decided to pursue a career in the hotel industry. He saw it as an opportunity to combine his passion for cooking with his love for hospitality, and he was excited about the endless possibilities that awaited him in this field.
Referring to his mistakes, Parmeshwar says that in his industry, patience plays a key role, and due to his impatience, he has committed many mistakes that made him miss out on important opportunities. He acknowledges that rushing into decisions without thoroughly considering all the factors has been a major downfall for him. However, Parmeshwar is determined to learn from his mistakes and develop the patience necessary to succeed in the hotel industry.
When asked about his role models, Parmeshwar says he admires Sameer Khanna, the general manager at the Taj Hotel in Sri Lanka, for his efficient work style and handling skills. He believes emulating Khanna's qualities can help him overcome past mistakes and achieve success in the hotel industry.
In his free time, Parmeshwar enjoys listening to music, traveling, and reading books. He finds solace in music as it helps him relax and unwind after a long day at work. Additionally, Parmeshwar believes that traveling and reading books broaden his horizons and provide him with new perspectives, which he can apply to his personal and professional growth in the hotel industry.
Parmeshwar says that to keep his guests happy, he makes sure to keep his team happy and motivated. He believes that a positive work environment and a strong team spirit are essential for providing excellent service to guests.
