International Scholar Dr. Parin Somani is actively engaged with numerous universities and organizations worldwide, both governmental and non-governmental. Her work spans across the fields of education, women empowerment, and youth development, where she has dedicated herself to making a lasting difference in communities around the globe.
Writer and Tedx Speaker Dr. Parin Somani is also actively involved in the education sector and has contributed significantly to the cause. One of her most proud moments was the launch of her book on soldiers and their sacrifices on August 15th, which was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Pondicherry at Raj Niwas. This milestone marked not only a significant achievement for Dr. Parin but also a moment of immense pride, as she was invited by the CM to participate in the flag hoisting ceremony, an honor she cherishes deeply.
By the age of nineteen, Author Dr. Somani had already authored eleven books, all of which were published by Kothari Publications by the time she turned twenty. In addition to her literary accomplishments, she worked as a presenter for Doordarshan and Akashwani in Ahmedabad. Dr. Parin also contributed articles in both Gujarati and English for prominent publications such as Gujarat Samachar, Sandesh, Shree Magazine, Jansatta, and Western Times.
Philanthropist Dr. Parin Somani reflects on her impressive achievements, including winning the Mrs. World 2022 title. In addition to this, she has earned multiple doctorates and holds a place in several record books both in India and internationally. With a remarkable portfolio of nineteen books to her name, Dr. Parin has also had the privilege of meeting various heads of state in India, as well as several governors, including those of Rajasthan, Goa, and Arunachal Pradesh.
Dr. Parin Somani was born in Mumbai but raised in Gujarat, where she completed her schooling at Ambassador High School and pursued her college education at Gujarat University. After marriage, she moved to London, where she has lived for the past thirty-two years. During this time, Dr. Parin has contributed significantly to global society, working on various initiatives around the world.
Talking about her struggles, Dr. Somani says that she reflects on her struggles with great resilience, sharing that she has battled cancer twice. Her first diagnosis came in 2001, when she began losing her eyesight and was subsequently diagnosed with Ameloblastoma, a rare and life-threatening cancer.
In 2010, she faced another devastating blow, when doctors informed her that she had little time left. It was during this difficult period that she met a person named Chandrika, who appeared to her as an angel. Chandrika recommended that Dr. Parin seek treatment at Kottakkal in Kerala, and it was there that her life was not only saved, but she underwent a profound transformation, emerging as a renewed person.
Social Worker Dr. Parin shares that she lives by two core mottos: the first is to help mankind until her last breath, and the second is to work collectively to bring about positive global change. She credits many individuals and non-profit organizations for inspiring and motivating her to participate in various impactful events.
Dr. Parin's favorite quote is by Mahatma Gandhi: "Be the change you wish to see in this world." When asked to share a message for the youth, Dr. Parin emphasizes the importance of self-belief and being part of the larger quest for peace. She encourages young people to be honest, helpful, and authentic, advising them to always stay true to themselves and act with fairness. Dr. Parin believes in the significance of building bridges across communities, societies, and nations, urging the youth to become holistic contributors to the global community.
