Paresh Gehi is the Founder of a digital marketing agency, “ Taproot Media LLP”, based in Indore.
Paresh was born and raised in Mumbai. He completed his B.Com in Mumbai itself.
After completing his B.Com, he worked with a big advertising agency in Mumbai. Then with an aim to earn more money and settle early, he also started working at a call center. He also went to Dubai and worked there with a bank in Sales. But things didn’t quite work out for him there, and he had to return to India.
Paresh shares that he learned Photography from his photographer father. He says when he came back to Mumbai after failing in his job in Dubai, he took to Photography as his profession. He started shooting for weddings and other events and also did Candid Photography. And soon he was able to scale his parental business of photography to corporate events too besides wedding and social events.
Later, Paresh also set up his photography studio in Dubai upon meeting one of his friends from there. He did really well initially but later had to shut the business when his clients started facing financial constraints. And owing to that he had to again move back to India.
Paresh believes that learning should never stop in life. He has always tried to learn from his clients and the people he has worked with.
After returning to India, Paresh settled in Indore as his parents were settled there. Having an entrepreneurial mindset, leveraging all his experience, he founded a digital marketing agency by the name Taproot Media LLP in Indore itself.
Paresh strongly believes that one needs to have a mentor or a role model to be able to grow in life.
Paresh says about Covid that initially, the pandemic was quite tedious for him as owing to it in-person interactions were missing and therefore he could not meet his team. However, later he shifted his business online and conducted virtual meetings with his clients and team.
To aspiring entrepreneurs, Paresh advises them to read the book titled Ikigai before they embark on their entrepreneurial journey. Besides, he advises them that having discipline, patience and a sound support system in life can bring them success. Furthermore, he advises them to just hang in there as their initial investments into their business will take time to grow and once they start growing they will yield huge profits.
Talking about his childhood, school, and college days, Paresh says that he still cherishes eating out with his friends in his childhood. At school, he says that he was not much into sports. However, at college, he started participating in extra-curricular activities actively.
Paresh has no regrets in life whatsoever and he would not want to change anything about his past. However, he would want to start investing money early on.
In his spare time, Paresh likes to spend time with his son, wife, and friends.
