Pankaz Singh Tanwar is an independent filmmaker of Rajasthani films in Jodhpur.
Pankaz hails from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He has been working in this field for the last few years. He directed "Sarpanch," a Rajasthani film. He completed his schooling in Sumerpur and did his graduation from Jodhpur.
Recalling his childhood, Pankaz says that his father was a government servant, so he had to move to various places. He spent most of his childhood in Sumerpur, Pali. In his childhood, he was camera shy. He was inspired by actor Hritik Roshan and performed one of his songs for the first time on stage. In the twelfth grade, he went to Jodhpur with his family and there he got interested in dancing.
Talking about his journey, Pankaz says that initially he joined a theatre in 2005 and did his first play with Dr. Vikas Kapoor. He participated in various reality shows and also joined a dance group. He started his journey as an artist in the field of dance. As a young actor, he appeared in a few films. Later, he got admission to the Live Arts Institute in Mumbai to learn editing. Then slowly and gradually, he decided to choose filmmaking as his profession.
Advising the aspirants to his field, Pankaz says that a lot of patience is required to get success in this field. He believes that everyone should learn in their own way. It is important to learn the art in any way possible, like through social media, in an institute, etc. Learning by observing plays an important role in this field. He says you can learn every department of the art in a single frame by observing each minor detail.
When asked how he attains mental peace, Pankaz says he believes that there should be the strength to fight with oneself within oneself. Family and friends are the biggest supporters in life, he believes.
Pankaz’s life mantra is that he believes in building healthy relationships with others and does not react instantly to situations.
