Pankaj, who stumbled into the vermicomposting field, is finding satisfaction in the process of turning organic waste into fertiliser using this environmentally friendly technique.

Pankaj Dangi has been in the field of vermicomposting since 2018. He has done his M.Sc. from Vidya Bhawan College.

Recalling his childhood, Pankaj says that he belongs to a family of farmers. He got into organic farming by taking part in the government initiative Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana. This is how Pankaj learned vermicomposting for his farming practice.

When asked about his challenges, Pankaj says that the field of vermicomposting comes with its own set of challenges from a selling and labour point of view. Pankaj adds that the process of vermicomposting takes 45 days to complete, which, if exceeded, can be problematic.

Speaking about the advantages that vermicomposting offers, Pankaj says that this method is eco-friendly and does not contribute to global warming.

Talking about his role models, Pankaj says he draws inspiration from Shri Krishna and his teachings.

When free, Pankaj reads religious books like the Bhagavad Gita, which provides him some solace. He also likes to read about famous personalities like Elon Musk and APJ Abdul Kalam.

वर्मीकंपोस्टिंग क्षेत्र में ठोकर खाने वाले पंकज इस पर्यावरण अनुकूल तकनीक का उपयोग करके जैविक कचरे को उर्वरक में बदलने की प्रक्रिया में संतुष्टि पा रहे हैं।

पंकज डांगी 2018 से वर्मीकम्पोस्टिंग के क्षेत्र में हैं। उन्होंने विद्या भवन कॉलेज से एमएससी किया है।

पंकज अपने बचपन को याद करते हुए कहते हैं कि वह किसान परिवार से ताल्लुक रखते हैं। सरकारी पहल परम्परागत कृषि विकास योजना में हिस्सा लेकर वे जैविक खेती में लग गए। इस तरह पंकज ने अपनी खेती के अभ्यास के लिए वर्मीकम्पोस्ट बनाना सीखा।

उनकी चुनौतियों के बारे में पूछे जाने पर, पंकज कहते हैं कि वर्मीकम्पोस्टिंग का क्षेत्र बिक्री और श्रम के दृष्टिकोण से चुनौतियों का अपना सेट लेकर आता है। पंकज कहते हैं कि वर्मीकम्पोस्टिंग की प्रक्रिया को पूरा होने में 45 दिन लगते हैं, जो अधिक होने पर समस्या हो सकती है।
