Pandit Neeraj Mishra hails from Pushkar and serves as the priest at Shri Narsingh Temple in Pushkar.

Neeraj feels that both education and experience hold equal significance.

Neeraj studied Sanskrit alongside his regular schooling up to high school. His knowledge of Sanskrit has been passed down through many generations, says Neeraj.

Neeraj conducts rituals and ceremonies, particularly those that include ‘hawans’.

Neeraj says that he draws inspiration from his parents and highlights the tradition of passing down their profession from one generation to another.

During his leisure time, he dedicates himself to teaching children Sanskrit and teaching them rituals, says Neeraj.

Neeraj’s message to the youth is to embrace the generational work, and respect and preserve our culture.
