Pallavi Gulati is the Branch Head at the WhiteOak Capital Management Company. She is also a travel enthusiast, explorer, and an influencer. Pallavi runs an Instagram page called ‘explorewithpallavi.’
Pallavi hails from Yamunanagar, a small city in Haryana. She finished her schooling and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Yamunanagar. Subsequently, she pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Management in Delhi. Pallavi's initial employment opportunity arose at ICICI Wealth Management in Udaipur, where she relocated for work.
Initially, Pallavi found the shift from residing in the capital city, Delhi, to relocating to Udaipur challenging. However, after around five years, she has settled in Udaipur and finds it a comfortable place to live. Exploring the history and culture of Mewar in Udaipur, her curiosity paved the way for her to become an influencer, says Pallavi.
During her initial employment, Pallavi gained valuable insights into money management as she helped clients with their financial planning.
Recalling old days, Pallavi shares that when she entered the 11th grade, she faced a serious accident. Medical professionals estimated a year for her recovery, but with sheer determination, she succeeded in walking again within four months and returned to school. Throughout her time of being bedridden, she cultivated a deep interest in reading, leading to a positive transformation from an average to a high-achieving student.
Pallavi's role models are her mother, who taught her the value of hard work, and her uncle, who advised her not to dwell on past regrets.
Sharing her struggles, Pallavi reveals that she had a challenging time when her parents initially denied her permission to study in Delhi University due to safety concerns. However, she eventually made it to Delhi after her graduation.
Reflecting on her achievements, Pallavi highlights her success in winning multiple awards in debate and poetry competitions. She proudly mentions receiving recognition from the Chief Minister of Haryana on several occasions, accompanied by numerous cash prizes. Moreover, getting the role of a branch manager early in her career stands out as a significant accomplishment for her.
Pallavi's advice to the younger generation is to focus on behavioral management and to learn about money management if they want to join the capital management field.
If given a time machine, Pallavi would go back in time to start learning the Bhagavad Gita at the age of five.
Pallavi's message to the youth is simple yet powerful: stay active and consistent in the pursuit of your goals.
