Born and brought up in Dausa, Dr. Om Prakash Meena is working as a postgraduate teacher of Hindi at Atomic Energy Central School, Rawatbhata, Rajasthan. He was working in Kudankulam, Tamil Nadu, before getting transferred to Rajasthan. He has been actively involved in teaching Hindi for several years and has gained valuable experience in diverse educational settings. His expertise in the subject has made him a highly respected and sought-after teacher among students and colleagues alike.

Om Prakash completed his post-graduate studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi after earning his degree from Rajasthan University in Jaipur. In addition, he holds a Ph.D. in tribal politics and related fields. He has authored multiple research articles on the topic of tribal politics and has a wealth of expertise and experience in the field.

Speaking about his struggles, Om Prakash says that there were not many hardships in his education. There was no pressure from his family to get a job early. Also, the fee structure of JNU and the fellowships helped Om Prakash in the monetary aspect of his studies. Additionally, Om Prakash attributes his success in education to the supportive and inclusive academic environment at both Rajasthan University and Jawaharlal Nehru University. He believes that his exposure to diverse perspectives and rigorous academic training have greatly contributed to his expertise in tribal politics.

Describing his journey, Om Prakash says that he discovered his passion for teaching during his graduation days. He saw professors and student politics at JNU, which led him to develop a passion for teaching. He began writing and publishing articles, feeling the freedom to express his views and guide students. He enjoys writing about government policies, tribal issues, and social issues. Though considering becoming a civil servant and appearing for IAS, he believes this would not be possible in any other profession. Om Prakash's writing aims to bring about change in society and motivate students to take the right path. He believes that a teacher has many ways to motivate students and guide them on the right path.

Om Prakash advises those aspiring to become teachers to focus on inner zeal and dedication, mastering their subject, and never retiring. He believes that the field is challenging for those who view it as a job and that teachers should never retire and continue teaching in various roles throughout their lives.

During the COVID pandemic, Om Prakash had a challenging but beneficial time. He completed his thesis, but was diagnosed with kidney stones and struggled to access medical help due to restrictions. He also tested positive for COVID and realized that in times of distress, only family members and friends could provide support. His school friends provided essentials and motivated him to stay positive, highlighting the importance of genuine support during times of distress.

When asked about his role models, Om Prakash responds by saying that he doesn't follow any specific person, but he believes that anyone can inspire us. He has drawn inspiration from his family, friends, and instructors. According to him, we get to learn from a variety of people as we go through life.

Speaking of his accomplishments, Om Prakash lists earning a doctorate as his first and having his articles and essays published in various publications and newspapers as his other two major accomplishments. Om Prakash thinks that these accomplishments have given him more self-assurance and given him new prospects in both his academic and professional lives. He is appreciative that his efforts have been acknowledged, and he intends to keep motivating people via his writing and academic endeavors.

Om Prakash emphasizes that leadership is a result of collective efforts, not individualistic ones. He advocates for listening to teammates, working together, providing honest guidance, and self-sacrifice. This fosters a collaborative environment, allowing leaders to tap into diverse perspectives and talents, leading to innovative solutions and increased productivity.
