Omi Gupta is a Digital Growth Strategist, Niche Clarity Specialist, TEDx Speaker and Founder and CEO of ‘Get Digital Office’ in New Delhi. In addition, he is a Certified Life Coach and Life Skills Trainer. He helps and coaches startups and corporate houses by providing end-to-end branding and marketing solutions.
Omi belongs to Delhi. He says that he lived in a joint family and had a wonderful childhood. He did his schooling from DAV Public School. He did his Engineering in Computer Science from NIT. He spent four-and-a-half years at IBM as a Software Developer. Even after getting a good paying job, he wanted to do something of his own. So he worked in Direct Selling for two years alongside his job. Slowly he started creating his own network and making money from his side job.
After self-evaluation, Omi realized that he likes to transform people, so he took his step towards life coaching. He left his job and became a Certified Life Coach in 2019. Since then he has gone on achieving several milestones in this journey and has never looked back.
Omi shares about his struggles that since childhood, he wanted to become a Doctor. For that, he even worked hard in his 12th std to clear his Medical Entrance Exams. But due to the pressure, he went into a nervous breakdown and was unable to understand anything. Because of that he could not clear the entrance exam and so he even thought of committing suicide. It was the worst phase of his life.
Omi says that he got worried during the Covid pandemic thinking what is going to happen next. Also, staying locked at home became very difficult for him. But he utilized this time to introspect and also understood the importance of family and relations. He says that his professional career got a boost during the pandemic as people needed coaching and consultancy.
If Omi had a Time Machine, he would go back to his college days to rectify some of his mistakes and enjoy those days.
Anyone who wants to become an entrepreneur, Omi advises them that just because you hate your regular eight-hours job and can’t listen to your boss’s orders, then don’t enter into it as it is a wrong attitude. Further he says that once you become an entrepreneur, then it is a twenty-four hour job where you have absolutely no free time for yourself. If you are passionate about your work and are able to face any challenge that might come, only then you should think of becoming an entrepreneur.
