Om Prakash Bunkar was born and brought up in Sabrah Tehsil, Jaipur. He has been working as an Additional District Collector in Udaipur for the last six years.
Om Prakash says that each day brings new challenges. Everyday hundreds of people come to him with their problems, and he feels immense joy and satisfaction helping people to solve their problems. It works as a motivation for him.
When asked how he copes up with challenges, Om Prakash says that there are several problems he has to deal with in this job. He further says that as he gets a very less number of days on leave, it is really difficult for him to manage social obligations and attend family functions. Meeting requirements of people and fulfilling expectations of the superiors are the biggest challenges in this job.
According to Om Prakash Covid was a difficult time for him. He says that when the lockdown was enforced, he had to arrange sending thousands of migrants to their hometowns. The way the government sector worked in those crucial days has changed people’s mind. People started appreciating police men, doctors and workers, and the private sector also came up with a helping hand. He further says that he did his best to follow the guidelines given by the state government.
Om Prakash feels that education is the most important of all as it teaches us different things. He further says that life is too short to experience each and everything, and only education could help us to learn various things. Om Prakash says that education and experience will help, only if we have a positive outlook.
Playing cricket and football with his children are his favourite pastimes.
Om Prakash wants to suggest to the young generation that a positive outlook is very important, only then we could succeed in life. He further says that people must listen to others, as listening to someone also helps to solve problems.
