Nitin Sharma is a musician, lyricist, and part-time actor from Delhi. He recently shifted to Mumbai and resides there.
Recalling his childhood, Nitin says that he was more into extracurricular activities like sports and music in his childhood. It was during his college days that he found his true calling and decided to pursue a career in music. Nitin himself took guitar lessons and later started teaching music to become more proficient at it. He is currently signed up with a record label.
Nitin explains that his musical journey began at home, where his great-grandmother used to hum music and gave his maternal uncle a guitar. However, later on, it was passed on to Nitin, who started playing the guitar while in the 5th grade.
When asked about his role models, Nitin says that besides his family, he draws inspiration from well-known singers like Jubin Nautiyal and Arijit Singh and grew up listening to them. He is most inspired by the musical journey of Jagjit Singh.
Talking about his life as an artist, Nitin says that it is always a challenge for every artist to convince their parents about their interests and ambitions in life. He adds that it was only when his parents started to see the outcome of his hard work, they began to trust him. However, as suggested by his family, he continued with his studies along with pursuing his passion for music.
Nitin advises all young artists to have that zeal and passion for music. He suggests they work on their mistakes and weaknesses rather than postponing things for the future. Nitin adds that musicians should be fully prepared to present themselves whenever given the opportunity. He also emphasizes the power of social media and the importance of collaborating with the right people.
In his free time, Nitin listens to good music that works as a meditation for him. He also has a keen interest in spirituality.
Nitin’s music is available to listen to on Spotify and on the record label "Elixir Records."
