A chest disease consultant, Nishtha is always ready to help others. She believes that it is important for a doctor to treat the patient in any condition.

Nishtha Singh is an Executive Director and Pulmonologist at Asthma Bhawan, Jaipur.

Recalling her childhood, Nishtha says that she still cherishes the memories of enjoying her summer vacations. In her childhood, she enjoyed a lot  with her friends and loved studying together with them.

Talking about her journey, Nishtha says that her journey in the medical field started in 2004 when she cracked the entrance exam. Initially, she felt nervous about how to do things and cope with this field. Slowly and gradually, she understood the fundamentals and different aspects of body parts, and eventually her interest grew.

Sharing her experiences, Nishtha says that initially she wanted to become a teacher because she likes teaching. Afterwards, when she was in eighth grade, she felt that it was exciting to become an air hostess, but in the higher classes, she realised that the medical line was perfect for her. She believes that in the medical field, one can enjoy the profession and also do social work. She worked very hard to enter this field and felt that it was a beautiful branch to opt for as a career.

When asked about her mistakes, Nishtha says that she didn’t make many mistakes in her life but learned to attend to any patient at any time from an incident. She says it is important in the profession of medicine to take the correct actions according to the situation.

Sharing her achievements, Nishtha says that bringing happiness and smiles to the faces of her patients is her biggest accomplishment.

Nishtha’s role model is her father, Dr. Virendra Singh, as she learned positivity and motivation to live life happily from him.

Nishtha’s life mantra is to keep your ego down and raise the happiness of others.
