Nishma has been doing theater since her childhood and has followed her passion for acting. She has acted in several Hindi and Gujarati plays, and in many short films and web series.

Nishma Soni is a theater artist and actor. She has been in this field for the past nine years.

Nishma hails from Ahmedabad. She is currently pursuing her BA in Psychology and doing theater simultaneously.

Nishma shares that she got cast in a Doordarshan serial when she was just ten. This was her first exposure to the acting field, and she got to work with some senior Gujarati actors. She started developing an interest in the field. Thereafter, she joined the Rangayan Theatre Workshop, where she got another role in a  play.  Later, she got associated with Indi Production, where she used to attend the Sunday theater club and read new scripts, which enhanced her understanding and learning about acting. She developed a good network and started acting in more plays.

Sharing about her mistakes, Nishma, describing an incident, says that she was going to act in one of the shows, which she had performed twelve times already, but in her overconfidence, she goofed up with her costumes. She learned from the whole situation to never take any of her shows lightly and prepare for them in the best way she can.

Talking about her achievements, Nishma says that she was awarded as a child actor for her performance in her first play in the Ekanki Natya Spardha. Performing on the big screen is also like an achievement to her.

When asked about her role models, Nishma mentions her mother and grandmother, from whom she learned to work hard for her goals.

Talking about how she faces rejections, Nishma says that she keeps the lowest expectations after giving the auditions. In case she was hoping but did not get selected, she vents about it to her mother and friends. She advises against self-doubt and to keep improving your skills.

Nishma’s life mantra is to do one thing at a time. She advises us to live in the present and not think too much about what will happen in future.

In her spare time, Nishma likes to read books and articles and also paints sometimes.
