For Nisha, age is no bar to follow her passion and do what she wants to do. At the age of sixty, she took to YouTube to share her food recipes and connect with people. Today she is a well-known name in the digital content space.

Nisha was born and raised in Mumbai. She received her school and college education in Mumbai itself. She likes to sing, cook, and write poems.

Nisha says that after her wedding, she shifted to Bangalore at her in-laws’ house. She says that she continued her passion for Singing and Cooking even after her wedding. She says that her family members always supported her to learn new things to grow in life.

Nisha shares that she always loved to cook. She always tried her best to cook the best she could and her family members always appreciated her for the dishes that she prepared. Feeling inspired, she started posting recipes of her homemade dishes on Facebook for which she got a good response from people. Later, upon her daughter’s suggestion, she started her own YouTube channel and named it Bangalore ka Swad.

Nisha says that besides following her passion for cooking, she also actively engages in social activities. She is a member of a community group wherein she works for women's empowerment and women's education.

Talking about her challenges, Nisha says that she studied in Hindi Medium and therefore she didn’t know how to speak English. But, when she started working with social groups, she gave in her best to learn English, and today she says she can comfortably converse in the language.

Nisha thinks that women have many inborn talents and she advises women to never stop following their passions.

In her spare time, she likes to write poems, and crack jokes to keep people around her happy.

For her, success is being able to create your own identity with your passion.

Talking about her mistakes, Nisha says that learning never ends in life and one learns a lot from their mistakes. She too committed many mistakes, however she always accepted her mistakes and improved on them.

Her message to people is that without worrying about what others have to say just follow your passion.

Nisha says that she always loved to sing. However, growing up she never got the exposure to hone and showcase her singing talent. After some years into her married life, upon one of her friends' suggestions, she started singing again. After taking formal training in singing for about a month, she participated in a singing competition and stood among the top ten which is her biggest achievement to date.
