Nipun Biyani is an entrepreneur who owns a veterinary clinic and pet grooming salons in Jaipur. He hails from Delhi and has worked at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for ten to twelve years. He has a huge passion for animals, likes poetry, and believes in the magic of the universe.

Nipun was born in Udaipur, Rajasthan, but his family moved to Delhi when he was just three months old. He completed his schooling in Delhi, followed by graduation from Hansraj College, Delhi University. He calls himself a Delhite and says that growing up in Delhi was extremely good. Nipun completed his first postgraduate degree in management information in Melbourne, Australia. Then he returned to India and worked for a couple of years before leaving for London for his second postgraduate degree in MBA marketing. Subsequently, he came back again and joined TCS. He worked there for more than a decade before quitting to start his own venture.

Nipun is empathetic and strategic. Having the required exposure and technical experience from the past, he developed some objectives before launching his veterinary venture. He looked for “pain points” where people struggle regarding pet maintenance and management. He thoroughly researched areas that needed assistance and a procedure to follow. These were: vaccination history, treatment history, following the prescriptions from the vet, and maintaining the transcripts. Nipun also catered to services such as insurance for pet owners for costly treatments and the grave issue of disposal of dead animal bodies through his mobile crematorium initiative. Moreover, he likes to invest in businesses that have a similar passion or vision as his.

According to Nipun, the COVID-19 pandemic or any other global recession situation has usually benefited the pet industry. In such unpleasant times, people have adopted pets and become much closer and more emotionally bonded to animals. This growing emotional connection has given a boost to the pet industry and his venture, too. However, the pet industry thrives on more one-to-one interactions regarding adoptions, investments, and pet management services that suffered during the pandemic. Nevertheless, the unpleasant pandemic times gave him some free time for his hobbies, like poetry. He likes to write poems, and one of his poetry books is in the publishing stage.

Nipun likes and gets inspiration from people who are concerned about animal welfare and wellbeing. He likes the phrase “when you truly want something, the whole universe conspires to help you achieve it.” He believes that “if there is something people require and you believe that it will make a name for you, then irrespective of the results or what people will say, better take a plunge.” He advises everyone to follow their passion and work for it for at least a thousand days to see the results. He feels that any type of entrepreneurial journey is beautiful, challenging, and satisfying.

Nipun shares that his only regret in life is rejecting a PR offer from Australia and not going back. However, he takes it in stride and says, “I would not have been doing then what I am doing now.” For him, success lies in the satisfaction derived from true joy rather than the satisfaction derived from money.
