Nikita Nebhnani is working as an English teacher at Rockwoods High School, Udaipur. She has been teaching here for the past three years and has a total of fourteen years of experience in the teaching field.
Nikita was born and brought up at Abu Road near Udaipur. She did her schooling at Sophia Girls High School, Mount Abu. Then she did B.Com. and M.A. in English Literature from Sophia Girls College, Ajmer.
Nikita says that she went to a convent school and seeing the teachers teach there inspired her to be a teacher one day. She feels that the teaching field gives her ample time to look after her family and is less time-consuming in comparison to other fields.
Talking about the COVID-19 pandemic, Nikita says that it affected every profession. For her, teaching online was a struggle as creating the same learning environment was difficult online. Nikita says that her personal life also got affected as she lost some close ones around her. However, on the positive side, she adds that family bonds got stronger.
Sharing about her role models, Nikita says that her mother is her role model. Nikita feels that even after coming from a financially challenged background her mother always kept her calm and dedication intact. Nikita adds that her mother has always supported her in all her tough times.
If given a time machine, Nikita would like to go back in time and relive her fond memories with her father as she lost him four years back.
When asked about the more important one between education and experience, Nikita says that both are equally important but education is a step ahead in her opinion as with knowledge everything can be achieved in life is what Nikita feels.
Advising the youth, Nikita says that we should be focused in our life and strike a balance between fun and studies. She also advises everyone to be consistent and grasp as much knowledge as possible.
