Nikhil embarked on his professional journey after earning an MBA in marketing. He began as a business development manager, where he initially faced challenges but soon became a top performer. His dedication and hard work led to a promotion and transfer to a different city, where he now specializes in strategy and planning.

Nikhil Bhawsar is working in Mumbai with SBI Life Insurance as an assistant manager.

Nikhil has an MBA in marketing. Initially, he was placed with SBI Life Insurance, Jaipur branch. He was working as a business development manager, looking after the sales of insurance. Later, he was promoted and transferred to Mumbai. He is into strategy and planning at SBI Life Insurance.

Nikhil was born in Indore. Later, his family moved to Udaipur when he was two years old. He completed his schooling in Udaipur itself. He completed his B.Com. from MLSU, Udaipur. After his B.Com., he took a one-year gap and prepared for MBA entrance examinations. He went to Mumbai to pursue his MBA.

Talking about his professional journey, Nikhil says that when he started his job, for the first fifteen days, he could not sell even a single insurance policy. He was losing hope, and that’s when he happened to discuss this with his manager, who guided him as to how he could improve his selling skills. After that, Nikhil never missed his targets and always achieved more than one hundred percent of his targets. Subsequently, based on his performance, he was promoted and placed in the Mumbai branch.

Talking about hardships in his life, Nikhil says that when in his 6th grade he switched from RBSE to CBSE, he failed his English exam. But with the help of his teacher, he improved his English, and after that, he never failed. Besides, he would also be trolled for his slender physique. But when he entered college, he worked on himself, built a good physique, and thus beat the trolls.

Nikhil says that during his undergrad years, he had a carefree attitude. He would not take his studies seriously, and owing to that, his father had lost hope in him. But later, he worked hard and got a berth in a good MBA college. Upon completion of his MBA, he got placed with a good organization, and he considers it his biggest achievement. Besides, he also got a couple of awards for his exemplary performances at his company.

Nikhil says that he was never a born leader. He has learned leadership as he has evolved and gained experience. Besides, according to him, a leader is someone who walks alongside others and helps them grow along with their own growth.

Nikhil believes that education is really important. Whether you want to get a job or launch a startup, your education always counts. And after your education, your experience helps you grow further.

Nikhil doesn’t consider anyone his inspiration. He himself pushes and motivates him. Besides, sometimes he also feels motivated when his mother pushes him.

Nikhil says that COVID was tough for him personally. He was stuck in Mumbai. He had to do his chores all by himself. He also contracted the virus.

Apart from his work, Nikhil is a gym freak. He can’t miss a day without working out. Besides, he also likes to watch and play cricket and binge-watch Netflix.

To anyone who wants to join the insurance industry, Nikhil advises that you must have a learning attitude. Besides, you ought to be patient and stay motivated at all times because, at times, you may not be able to meet your targets.

If Nikhil could go back in time and undo something, he would want to be more serious about his studies during his early years so that he could land a better job. Besides, he would also want to relive his MBA days.

Nikhil’s success mantra is to enjoy life. According to him, we should enjoy life too, besides our career and profession.
