Nidhi Sharma is a teacher of Social Studies in Shishu Bharti Sr. Sec. School.

Nidhi Sharma was born and brought up in Udaipur, Rajasthan. She has done M.A.-B.Ed. and currently she is a teacher at the Shishu Bharti Sr. Sec. School in Udaipur, where she teaches Social Studies to the students of class 6th to 8th. However, she is proficient in teaching all other subjects too and she holds five years of experience.

Nidhi is of the opinion that every woman should work and become self-reliant. She has herself become self-reliant with active support and motivation from her father. So she decided to teach young kids both as a passion and profession.

During the period of lockdown, Nidhi as a teacher encountered a little difficulty in teaching her students with her full capacity and satisfaction. She says that teaching offline gives teachers and the students liberty and a deeper level of connection that they can not attain while teaching online.

Nidhi considers education and experience both of equal value. She says that through education one gains confidence, and through confidence he/she can easily get a job to gain experience too. She regards education to be a weapon for women through which they can achieve any endeavour.

According to her, leadership means being a role model, having good command over your subject.  A leader must be able to maintain discipline. She believes that leadership is instilled both by birth and through training, with discipline and extroversion being two foremost qualities of a leader.

For Nidhi, sources of inspiration are books, small children and anyone whom you find inspiring. Her role model is her father, as he never restricted her, and always motivated her to pursue her dreams and supported her in every stage of her life. In her school days, she used to take part in every co-curricular and cultural activity.

Nidhi devotes her free time to prepare for her upcoming competitive exams. She also likes to sing bhajans too with “Krishna manmohana” being her favorite one. She lives by the motto of “Jiyo aur jeene do”. She believes that there must be a freedom of thought and action for everyone.

Nidhi gives advice to youngsters who want to join this profession to have patience and be disciplined so as to become a role model to their students.
