Coming from a spiritual background, Neeraj became a Yoga Instructor and has established his own Yoga center for helping people stay healthy. He says that his family background made it easy for him to learn Yoga and become an Instructor.

Neeraj Singh is a Surat-based Yoga instructor. He is also the Founder-Director at Yoga Arogya Center. He has done M.Sc. in Yogic Science and Holistic Health from Haridwar.

Neeraj belongs to Jalore, Rajasthan. He did his initial education in Jalore itself, and then he shifted to Surat for further schooling. After that he did B.Sc. and M,Sc. In Yoga from Haridwar and has  been offering Yoga services in Surat for the last ten years.

Recalling his childhood memories, Neeraj says that his childhood was quite fun. There had been a spiritual atmosphere at his home since childhood, says Neeraj. His father belonged to the Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar and hence his childhood was full of spirituality. Neeraj says that due to the spiritual environment at his home, it was not that difficult for him to learn yoga in his college days.

Neeraj says that yoga can help people treat any disease as it impacts the body internally if it is done correctly and under proper guidance. Neeraj says that it is a myth that yoga has a slow impact on a person’s disease. Yoga is something that shows results in a day or two on some diseases and treats some diseases with time. People take yoga lightly and sometimes start practicing on their own with wrong alignments which harm their bodies.

When asked why he decided to come into the field of yoga, Neeraj responds by saying that his childhood was full of a spiritual environment and he was inclined towards yoga and other related activities since then. He says that when he was in school, he got an opportunity to practice and perform Surya Namaskar on the stage and had a great experience after his performance. That was when he realized that he wanted to pursue a career in the field of yoga.

Sharing some of the benefits of yoga, Neeraj says that every second or third person on the earth is suffering from Diabetes or any other disease and the reason behind this is their improper daily routine, diet, and environment. He says the environmental gases you inhale contain various toxins that directly affect your immune system, eventually making your body weak. Neeraj further adds that people these days do not do exercise and yoga daily, which is one of the major reasons behind their health issues.

Regarding his mistakes, Neeraj says that he started his yoga education with interest but when he went to his college, he became a bit lazy and started taking studies lightly after shifting to a new place. Due to this, when he was sent for an internship at a new place, it became very difficult for him to take sessions and offer therapies to people. However, with time he realized his mistake and soon rectified it.

Speaking about his role models, Neeraj says that his parents have been his role models for giving him the environment due to which he has been successfully able to achieve things in life. Apart from his parents, there have been different role models at different stages of his journey. Recalling each of his role models, Neeraj says that Pandit Shree Ram Sharma Acharya, the chief of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar, and the teachers of his college Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya have been a constant support and guiding hand for him.

In his free time, he loves playing cricket and other outdoor games.

Sharing his life mantra, Neeraj says that if you become unsuccessful in life, you should follow the mantra, “Failure only proves that the effort for success was not made wholeheartedly.”

Advising yoga aspirants, Neeraj says that nowadays things have become a lot easier than before. People are now equipped with various digital learning platforms plus the support of the government. He says that nowadays various crash courses are also available that can help you become an “Internationally Certified Yoga Teacher” with just 200 hours of practice. Further, your practice and experiences can help you grow in your yoga career.

Further adding up, Neeraj says that a research in the US shows that the yoga industry is growing by 20% every year, and it would be the fastest growing industry till 2027. Therefore, with yoga, people have the best career opportunity to keep themselves and others fit and to also earn a wholesome amount.
