A committed educator with 20 years of experience, Neelam is very content in her work and appreciative of all the love and affection she has received. She believes that teachers should be knowledgeable, experienced, and role models.

Neelam Singh is a dedicated teacher at the Stanvard School in Udaipur. She has been teaching here for the last twenty years.

Neelam began her career in 1999 as a nursery school teacher. She is originally from Mumbai, but after getting married, she relocated to Udaipur. Everything was new to her there, including her job. Over time, she gained experience and knowledge and groomed herself, becoming a better person and, of course, a very good teacher. She now has extensive experience in her profession and is able to handle difficult situations with ease.

For a person aspiring to be a teacher, Neelam says that one should be a good student, an active learner, a good listener, honest, impartial, and loving. Moreover, your personality should be very sound, as you have to make students respect you, follow you, and respect your teaching.

Sharing her opinion on education and experience, Neelam says that education is like an entry pass, and when it gets combined with experience, wonders happen. Experience enhances our quality of work and our capabilities.

Talking about the new normal of online teaching, Neelam says that initially she didn’t find it lively at all. But with a positive mindset, she started learning the technological aspect, and soon she adapted to it. Though there were many challenges, she is very happy that she got to know about this platform and got acquainted with the technology.

Neelam was a very shy person earlier and was not at all a leader before she joined the teaching profession. This profession and her interaction with her students made her a leader.

Neelam thinks that a teacher should be capable enough to deal with all kinds of students, and she knows this very well. Apart from sharing bookish knowledge, she also teaches her students about moral values and ethics so as to encourage them to become good human beings. She urges others to do the same. A teacher should have a vast knowledge of his subject, and effective delivery of content is a must. A teacher should be punctual and disciplined enough to inspire the students.

Neelam is a keen observer; she tries to learn something from everyone she comes across, including her students. She believes that each individual has something good about him or her that can be learned.

When asked about her role models, Neelam says she is very grateful to the director of Stanvard School, who guided her, groomed her, and always supported her. He has provided her with lots of opportunities and platforms where she can showcase her capabilities and enhance her qualities. She is thankful to her parents and her husband, who have supported her and inspired her to grow more, and most importantly, to her students, who have taught her a lot of things.

She follows a very famous quote and motivates her students to do the same, that is, "Try, try, try, and you shall definitely get success one day."

She teaches her students to stay focused and keep working hard, which will help them get closer to their dreams.
