Nayan went through harsh times before becoming financially stable as a Technician at Vidya Bhawan.

Nayan Bhatnagar is a Technician at Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College. He has been associated with the institute for over a decade now.

Recalling his childhood, Nayan says that he spent his early days in Udaipur, where he both grew up and studied. He started his journey as a security guard before joining Vidya Bhawan as a Technician.

Speaking about his challenges, Nayan says he did ITI and worked for a company for nineteen years on a bare minimum salary and no fixed time schedule. When his wife pushed him to apply to Vidya Bhawan, Nayan gave an interview at the institute and was asked to join on the same day.

Both Nayan and his wife continued to work at Vidya Bhawan before the pandemic struck, and his wife was made to sit at home. The couple found it difficult to manage their expenses with only one of the members working. Thereafter, Nayan funded his children’s education by making them do a diploma in Vidya Bhawan itself.

Discussing his challenges further, Nayan shares that his father was diagnosed with cancer and he tried his level best to get him treated. But unfortunately, he lost his father to death.

Sharing his pandemic experience, Nayan says he took online classes for the students so as not to break their continuity in studies. He teaches students the practical applications of welding, plumbing, and sheet metal work.

When asked about his role models, Nayan says he considers Maharana Pratap as his inspiration.

Nayan advises the youth to first know and identify their field of interest. He adds that if one is truly interested in a field, then only they can perform well at an individual level. Nayan advises all parents not to put any kind of pressure on their children and to let them choose their career paths.
