Knowledge is of no use, if it is not applied.
Navita Gokhru was born and brought up in Udaipur. After completing her secondary education, she did her B.Ed and M.Ed in Social Science from Mohanlal Sukhadia University Udaipur. In 2007, she started her career as a teacher.
Navita says that Social Science is a very underrated subject. People don’t realise how important it is. It links all our history, economics and politics together to form the modern society that we know today. Navita always tries to connect with her students and tries to make the subject as less boring as possible. She thinks students consider it boring because of its lengthy nature but actually it’s very interesting.
Success mantra for Navita is to apply one’s knowledge and share it with others to learn new things. She thinks if you can’t apply your knowledge at the right place and right time, it is of no use.
Navita’s main inspiration in life are her mother and her grandmother. They both always supported her in every situation.
Navita firmly believes that success takes a lot of time and it comes to those who wait. She has been working as a teacher from 2007 and she has very gradually climbed up the ladder of success.
Biggest achievement for Navita is always when her students understand what she is trying to teach them, and they score good marks in both their academics as well as competitive examinations. She feels proud when there is a positive response from the students.
For anyone who wants to join her profession, Navita advises them to be patient and kind. She says they should be able to relate and connect with their students, and always try to be creative.
Navita believes leadership is a combination of education and experience, and it is half-baked without any one of them.
During the pandemic, it was very difficult for Navita to adjust with online classes because she feels there is a huge gap between physical classes when compared to online ones. Students were less active and less engaging. There were also many connectivity issues.
In her free time, Navita likes to read books and make beautiful paintings.
She concludes by saying that nothing is impossible in life with the right amount of dedication, determination, patience and hard work. If one has it, nothing can stop them from attaining success.
