At a young age only, Navab decided to work for the upliftment of poor farmers and the deprived society. Moving ahead, he did a lot of work to enable the poor farmers to stand on their own feet and make them self-employed.

Navab Singh has been working as a Senior Scientist and President at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dholpur, for the last four years.

Navab was born in Budhwari village in Nadbai, Bharatpur. He took his primary education from his village itself and secondary education from the secondary school in Naam Khera, Nadbai. He did his 9th class from Sanskrit College, Bharatpur. Thereafter, he came to Fateh Sr. Sec. School, Udaipur to complete his schooling. In 11th, he chose Agricultural Science as his subject. Then he went to DAV College, Ajmer to pursue his B.Sc in Agriculture (Honours). He did M.Sc Agriculture from Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur. Simultaneously, he did his PhD from MDS University, Udaipur. He also qualified NET in 2003, as well as did a one-year diploma in Computer Application from IICT, Udaipur and one-year diploma in Marketing from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur. Apart from this, he has received several other forms of education from different centres of education. He also visited various centres of higher education in India, to acquire new knowledge and experiences.

At a very young age, Navab had dreamed of joining the field of providing service to the farmers. While doing B.Sc in Agriculture, he realised that true human service is the service to farmers in our country. And for this reason he got his further education in this field. In 2001, he started working in this field by studying about farmers and their problems. As on date, he has twenty years of experience in this field.

Navab got a chance to work at many places which started with MPUAT, Udaipur. There, he worked as a Nodal Officer in NEIP Project for the upliftment of the typical tribal people of Dungarpur district and the urban tribe residents of Sirohi district. Because of their work, the lives of tribals have changed a lot in the last five years as their huts have turned into solid houses, the children who could not even go to the government schools, have started going to private schools. Also, the tribals who went to distant cities and worked as labourers, started producing vegetables, fruits and other things in their own village by adopting diversification technology and selling them in nearby areas. In this way he did several other works at different places and contributed a lot in the progress of farmers. Because of his work, he got a lot of growth in his career and continued to be promoted from time to time.

Talking about role models, Navab says that he got inspiration from his father in his childhood. After that, as he progressed in life, he drew inspiration from all the great personalities he had the opportunity to read about. Bhimrao Ambedkar is his role model for providing education and knowledge to the entire world and whose light today illuminates the underprivileged society of the whole world in his opinion.
