Nav’s childhood love for makeup and cosmetics drew her into this very industry and made her a well-known makeup artist in Punjab. She has made her mark in this industry by successfully running her own makeup studio and academy.

Nav Brar is a Makeup Artist and an Educator. She is the Owner and Founder of ‘Nav Brar Studios and Makeup Academy’ in Punjab. She has been carrying out this profession for six years now.

Nav was born in Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab. She did her primary schooling there and then moved to Chandigarh with her family. She did her remaining schooling and BA.LLB from Chandigarh itself. She went to the UK to pursue her LLM. There, she worked as an Assistant for a major magazine for some time and came back to India.

After coming back to India, Nav did a Diploma in Cosmetology. Despite not having much training in the makeup industry, she worked as a freelancer for two-three years. In no time, she gained good popularity and in 2019, she set up her own makeup studio and academy with her husband.

Recalling her childhood, Nav says that she was a sportsperson in her school and college days. Apart from being involved in sports, she was also very fond of doing make-up throughout her student life.

Talking about her role models, Nav says she considers her parents, her brother, and her husband as her role models for always supporting her and helping her reach where she is today.

Regarding her achievements, Nav says that she always strives towards perfection which has made her achieve great milestones like being featured in major magazines like Forbes, which is a big achievement for her.

In her spare time, Nav enjoys traveling and binge-watching movies and series on Netflix.

Advising new makeup enthusiasts, Nav says that you cannot achieve success overnight so she tells them to keep putting in their efforts in order to achieve success. She further asks them not to get swayed by social media and to have patience and humility. She adds by telling them to be consistent in their work and do good work to build their client base.
