An Artist and Restaurateur based in Udaipur city, Narendra is carrying forward his father’s legacy as a Miniature artist.

Narendra was born and raised in Udaipur. He received his entire formal education in Udaipur itself. He is an Artist by profession.

Narendra shares that he learned to paint from his father who was also an artist. In 1991, he participated in a children’s film festival organized by WZCC, Udaipur at Shilpgram in Udaipur. It was for the first time he exhibited his paintings and from there, spotting his talent, the GOI sponsored his travels to many other places, both domestic and international, to showcase his art.

Narendra says that he primarily does Miniature paintings which are usually appreciated and purchased by international tourists in the city. However, due to the Covid pandemic there was no footfall of international tourists in the city and owing to which he could not sell his paintings and therefore had to suffer on the financial front.

His biggest inspiration is his father from whom he gets to learn something new every day. Besides, his brother also supports him to pursue Painting.

To aspiring artists, Narendra advises them to keep honing their artistic talent. Besides, he says that nowadays there are different platforms created by the GOI to enable artists to showcase their art.

Narendra thinks that Education is really important in life. He says that along with one’s interest one ought to also complete their education to be able to showcase their talent at scale.

Talking about his struggles in life, Narendra says that struggles in life are there so long as there’s life. He says that his father was a peon and growing up he had to face many difficulties. However, he always believed in himself and his talent, and today he is doing well in his life.

His Success Mantra is to have a single-minded focus on his goals and then to work hard to achieve them.
