Namrata Mahavir Verma is a Yoga Instructor at Sanskar Kunj Gyanpeeth.
Originally from Bhavnagar, Namrata currently resides in Surat, Gujarat. She grew up in Bhavnagar and moved to Surat when she was 17 years old.
Sharing her journey as a yoga Instructor, Namrata says that her body was quite flexible while she was young so her parents encouraged her to join the field of yoga. Thus, she began practising yoga when she was in 4th-5th standard. She started participating in competitions and began winning medals after 2-3 years into the field. She then did a professional teaching diploma course in yoga to become a Yoga Instructor. She has been teaching yoga for about 18 years and also tries to cure diseases through it. She is also working as a Judge in the ‘Khelo India’ and has judged in various national and international yoga competitions.
Speaking of the challenges in her professional journey, Namrata says that when people come to her with seemingly incurable diseases it becomes a challenge for her to cure them. She says that she tries to cure them by first igniting hope in them.
Namrata believes that mistakes are a part of life. She says that you should learn from your mistakes and never repeat them.
Namrata says that Paresh Patel and her family have been instrumental in her success through their support, and are her biggest inspirations.
Talking about her achievements, Namrata says that she had a dream to be a judge in a reputed sports competition which she achieved by judging in the ‘Khelo India’. She further adds that when she helps a disabled child through yoga and sees them happy, she feels satisfaction and a sense of achievement.
Advising yoga enthusiasts, Namrata says that you should definitely join the yoga field as the government has also been promoting it. She further says that it offers attractive career opportunities along with a chance of helping other people so you should also contribute to society through yoga.
In free time, Namrata likes to practise her hobby of listening to instrumental music and reading books.
