With fifteen years of experience under her belt, Namita has established herself as an expert in Kathak and runs her own dance academy. Namita's dedication to teaching and preserving the dance form has earned her great respect among her students.

Namita Sinha is a Kathak dancer and teacher from Ranchi, Jharkhand. She has been practicing Kathak for the past fifteen years. She runs her own dance academy named "Fida Dance Academy".

Namita was only six years old when she started her journey in dance. Initially, she started learning Bharatanatyam, but later switched to Kathak and fell in love with its intricate footwork and graceful movements. Her family had been very supportive of her passion for dance, even in those years when people did not consider it a viable career option. Now she has been able to make a successful career as a professional Kathak dancer.

Describing her journey, Namita says that she still remembers the old days when she used to watch Madhuri Dixit's dance and Kathak performances on television, and that was when she decided to pursue Kathak as her career option. She used to think that Kathak was the best dance form in the world, and if she learned this art, then her world would be different. So, she started learning it, and  even went to Mumbai to teach the nuances of the dance to the theater artists. She practiced day and night to perfect her skills and ended up becoming a professional Kathak dancer, performing on various renowned stages.

Referring to her mistakes, Namita admits that her biggest mistake was not moving out of her city to learn different styles of Kathak from various gurus. She believes that this would have helped her grow as a dancer and performer, and in developing her own unique style and personality. Namita encourages young dancers to step out of their comfort zones and visit different gurus to enhance their skills and broaden their perspectives.

She looks up to Late Master Saroj Khan, a legendary dancer and famous choreographer in Bollywood, as her inspiration and tries to follow in her footsteps. As she reflects on the legacy of Master Saroj Khan, she is inspired by the impact that one person can have on an entire generation of dancers. She hopes to carry on this legacy by sharing her love of dance with others and inspiring them to pursue their dreams.

Namita firmly believes that following one's interests can lead to a fulfilling and successful career, and she strives to embody this philosophy in her own life.

Speaking about her achievements, Namita claims she has taught more than fifteen thousand students, helping them discover their passion and reach their full potential. She also feels proud of her ability to teach students in her age group who have the zeal to learn the dance. She has taught dance to the artists who perform in TV serials, theater, and other events. She is also a top name in the field of dance in her city and has imparted Kathak training to the students of different schools and colleges.

When she is not busy, Namita enjoys designing dresses and experimenting with new makeup styles for her dance performances.

To the young generation, Namita says that it's important to follow a single art form wholeheartedly. As classical dance forms need time and a lot of practice to master,  one must try to be consistent and keep learning to improve oneself in the chosen dance form. She believes that this dedication will lead to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the art.
