A chef and restaurant owner, Naman wanted to become an engineer but eventually ended up doing what he loved: cooking. Today, he hosts a cooking show and aspires to do much more in life.

Naman Kumar Arora is a chef, restaurant owner, and consultant.

Naman was born and brought up in Bathinda and did his initial schooling in Barnala. After that, he moved to Chandigarh to pursue his studies after the seventh standard.

Naman says that his father is an engineer and his mother is a graduate in mathematics, so he also thought about becoming an engineer. However, after scoring poorly in senior secondary examinations, he started searching for other options.

Naman says that he always had an interest in cooking and used to help her mother in the kitchen. He used to host maggie parties in his school days, and hence, when his elder sisters told him about a course in hotel management, he took their advice and entered the field.

Talking about the field, Naman says that it takes a lot of time and effort. He almost had to stand for nine hours a day during his college days. It was during his industrial training that he got appreciation for his work, which boosted his confidence. After that, he worked in different hotels, went into the teaching field, started his restaurant, and is also working as a consultant and helping other people open new restaurants. He is also doing a cookery show titled "Swaad Aa Gaya" on Zee Punjabi.

Talking about his mistakes, Naman says that not realizing his skills and talents during the schooling phase itself was a mistake. Another mistake he feels he made was not prioritizing his health while at work.

When asked about his achievements, Naman says that getting to host a cooking show has been his biggest achievement to date.

Speaking about his role models, Naman says that his mother has always supported him. Also, his sisters have always motivated Naman in every field. Naman shares that he also draws inspiration from chefs like Ranveer Brar and Kunal Kapoor, who share his college.

Naman thinks that we should always make long-term plans in life. He feels that a long term vision is necessary to succeed in life, along with maintaining motivation to work hard.

In his free time, Naman likes to follow his interest in photography and videography.
