Never give up and keep going forward on your path to success.
N.L. Khetan is the Secretary of the Aravali Group of Colleges in Udaipur.
Hailing from the village of Losal in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, Khetan moved to Udaipur 42 years ago. He worked with his maternal uncle for fifteen years in the fertilizer field, and then shifted to the education sector in 1996. He started a computer coaching institute in Udaipur, and later expanded it to eight branches in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Banswara.
After some time, he started a college named Aravali College offering BEd and MBA courses. Gradually, his group grew into several colleges offering other technical courses like Nursing, BCA, MCA, BTech, and MTech.
Khetan recalls he completed his education up to the ninth grade in his village itself. He recalls going to his father's shop and godown with him. His father taught him the fundamentals of business, which ignited his interest in the field. However, in order to continue his education, he had to go to Udaipur, where he lived with his maternal uncle. He would occasionally go to his uncle's factory, and over time, he began to assist him with his work. He realized that he wanted to start his own business, which he did in the education field and never looked back.
Khetan admits that his firm has seen ups and downs as well as losses, but he kept going and worked hard to reach the goals he desired.
Regarding his mentors in life, Khetan states that O.P. Agarwal, who helped him in founding the Aravali Group of Colleges, is someone he is grateful to. He also considers himself fortunate to have a wife who has always supported him in pursuing his goals and a daughter who inspires him to work hard.
Khetan believes that education is essential for the growth of an individual and, if combined with experience, can open gateways to the success of a person.
Khetan urges the younger generation to also help in their family business, along with their studies, to help their parents and to gain their trust.
