Muskan Rana is a yoga instructor who teaches yoga and gymnastics both offline and online, internationally through Zoom calls. She is also a dance teacher.
Muskan completed her schooling in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Later, she pursued her graduation and diploma in Punjab, and undertook teacher training courses in Delhi.
Reflecting on her childhood, Muskan describes it as pleasant, with strong support from her family. When she was in fifth grade, she began participating in athletic competitions and continued her studies alongside. Her achievements in national-level competitions garnered encouragement from her parents and school principal, leading her to pursue a career in sports.
Muskan says that she completed her schooling in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Later, she pursued a degree in Health and Physical Education in Punjab, followed by a diploma in Yoga. She then moved to Delhi, where she completed a teacher training course in yoga at the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY). She worked there for some time. Afterward, she returned to her hometown and opened her own academy, Muskan Yoga Dance Academy, while also conducting online classes.
Muskan's interest in yoga grew when she found it as part of her studies in Health and Physical Education. She gradually realized its significance in her career and began giving it more importance, leading her to participate in competitions and receive appreciation for her skills.
Muskan shares that she has achieved notable success, including winning numerous gold medals in races and high jump competitions at the state and district levels. She has also represented India in yoga on two occasions.
When it comes to role models, Muskan looks up to her family as her greatest inspiration.
Muskan's life mantra is to go with the flow, embracing the opportunities that come her way.
For the younger generation aspiring to enter this field, Muskan advises them to consider the various colleges offering courses in yoga. She highlights the relatively low competition for girls in the field of yoga and encourages them to pursue it as a career path.
