Anchor Mumal Ranawat specializes in celebrity and corporate event management through her company. A former outstanding NCC cadet, she represented Rajasthan at the Republic Day Camp, and anchored an event at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Felicitated with awards like Udaipur Ratna and Maharana Raj Singh Award, she empowers women through her all-female team.

Hailing from the picturesque City of Lakes—Udaipur, Mumal Ranawat is an outstanding ex-NCC Cadet and Celebrity Anchor currently running her event-management company ‘The Emerald Media’, which specializes in Celebrity Management and organizing Corporate Events.

The company primarily handles corporate events, celebrity appearances, and award functions for dealerships and brands. Whether it’s about organizing a conference or inviting a celebrity, The Emerald Media offers comprehensive services tailored to client needs.

What makes The Emerald Media even more special is Mumal’s commitment to female empowerment. Her team is entirely made up of women from various parts of India, and she is always open to mentoring those who wish to start their firms or media companies. Mumal doesn't shy away from sharing the hard realities—initial failures, lack of funds, no sponsors, and self-investment. But she believes that consistent efforts and genuine work gradually bring recognition and success.

Over the years, Mumal Ranawat has been felicitated with several accolades, including the ‘Udaipur Ratna’, the ‘Maharana Raj Singh Award’, and honors at the Jauhar Mela. Today, she inspires NCC cadets to join the Indian Armed Forces, sharing her experiences and encouraging them to serve the nation.

Among her proudest achievements is being one of the three anchors chosen from all over India to perform at the Republic Day Camp’s cultural event at Rashtrapati Bhavan—alongside cadets from Chennai and Himachal Pradesh. Representing Rajasthan, this opportunity was a defining moment for her.

Celebrity Anchor Mumal Ranawat completed her schooling, graduation, and post-graduation in Psychology from institutions within the city of Udaipur itself.

Her path into the world of communication began unexpectedly in 2014, when she joined a summer camp during her 11th grade. It was there that she took RJ (Radio Jockey) coaching, not knowing that this moment would lay the foundation for her future career in anchoring. Mumal’s passion for anchoring, which began as a hobby, soon became her calling. She started anchoring from a young age and was known as the Youngest RJ at Radio 92.7 Big FM.

Simultaneously, she was determined to join the defense services—a dream she had nurtured since childhood. Though her parents were initially skeptical about anchoring as a sustainable career, she pursued both anchoring and defense preparation with equal dedication. NCC played a pivotal role in her growth, instilling discipline, fitness, and a strong sense of social responsibility in her.

Through the NCC (National Cadet Corps), Mumal got the opportunity to represent Rajasthan at the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) held in Delhi. There, she was chosen as an MC (Master of Ceremonies)/anchor for central cultural events and even performed at the Prime Minister's and President’s residences. Her contribution was recognized with a commendation medal—one of her earliest recognitions on a national level.

However, her selection for the RDC meant she had to give up her radio job to participate in the event that would mark a turning point in her life.

Despite giving eight attempts at defense exams, she couldn’t get selected due to the limited intake for women—a concern she hopes the authorities will address by increasing the number of positions for women.

After her unsuccessful final attempt, she chose to focus completely on her passion for Anchoring and Event Management. She turned her setbacks into comebacks and continued to work with integrity and purpose.

In 2023, she launched her event company called The Emerald Media, which specializes in celebrity and corporate event management. Sharing the story behind the name, Mumal recalls how she initially considered calling it Miss Media. But the name didn’t feel right. That’s when her father reminded her, “You are that shining part of the crown,” which led her to choose the word ‘Emerald’—a gem known for its brilliance. Thus, The Emerald Media was born—a reflection of her identity and spirit.

An incident that deeply inspired her was when she hosted an event for Big FM where Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhry was the chief guest. Impressed by Mumal's coordination skills and confidence, Chaudhry encouraged her to pursue celebrity management as a full-time career. That moment solidified her decision to establish The Emerald Media. She began building her team, which now includes members from across the country, with the main office and team leader based in Mumbai. Despite the Mumbai connection, Mumal prefers to operate from Udaipur, rooted in the belief:

“जो आपकी जन्मभूमि होती है, वही आपकी कर्मभूमि होती है।”(The land of your birth should also be the land of your karma.)

Reflecting on her teenage years, Mumal candidly shares that she was often bullied in school and didn’t perform well academically. But everything changed after the summer camp in 2014. That was when she stood on stage with a mic in front of 3000+ people—an unforgettable moment that sparked her transformation. She became confident, self-assured, and clear about her aspirations.

Born at home during a time when hospitals were scarce, Mumal’s life has always been rooted in simplicity and struggle. She believes that her modest beginnings taught her the value of hard work and resilience. She studied at St. Mary’s Sr. Sec. School, Titardi, and later pursued higher education at BN University and did Post-graduation in Psychology.

Promoter of The Emerald Media, Mumal draws spiritual strength from Lord Krishna and follows His teachings. Her guiding principle—“No matter what the situation is, keep smiling”—helps her remain patient and grounded, even in the face of adversity. According to her, success is a blend of hard work, faith, and the ability to keep going with a smile.

One of her favorite songs, “Ruk Jana Nahin,” was often sung by her father and continues to motivate her. She also holds close a powerful quote by poet Gulzar, shared with her by transgender rights activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi:

“खुद से जीतने की ज़िद है, मुझे खुद को ही हराना है।
  मैं भीड़ नहीं हूं दुनिया की, मेरे अंदर एक ज़माना है…”

This quote resonates with Mumal’s belief that true talent comes from within, and one does not need external validation to shine.

Mumal Ranawat encourages everyone to pursue what they love and never feel limited by conventional expectations. She is approachable and willing to guide anyone starting a career in media or events. Her company’s website—emeraldmedia.co.in—includes her contact details, team information, and a list of services provided.

She signs off with a poetic reminder that encapsulates her story:

“सियाह रात नहीं लेती नाम ढलने का,
यही तो वक़्त है सूरज तेरे निकलने का…”

(The dark night never signals the end—this is the time for the sun to rise.)

Mumal Ranawat stands as a shining example of how belief, discipline, and boldness can turn dreams into reality.
