Mukund Maheshwari is the founder of a startup, ‘Law Laboratory', which provides career consultancy to students in the law domain. They provide placement services and help draft resumes for students as well as professionals in the legal industry. He also publishes law journals and helps students publish their books after properly obtaining the International Standard Book Number (ISBN).
Maheshwari explains that the Law Laboratory provides full-fledged assistance to its students in making a career in the law field. Having a client base of 25000 people, Law Laboratory, in merely six years has been his biggest achievement till now. He has been awarded the Business Mint Under 30 Award for his startup in the legal education category. He has given many interviews at the national level.
Belonging to the 4th generation of a business class family, Mukund is also associated with this family business, which is in the textile field. Here, they supply textiles from Bhilwara to various cities across India. They deal primarily in school uniform fabrics, and their products are manufactured in Bhilwara.
When Mukund was pursuing his graduation degree in 2016 from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, he realised that eventually everyone needs a mentor or guide to build a career. Hence, he recognised the market gap for providing a service where mentorship is provided, particularly to law students, to excel in their careers. Thus, for the past six years, he has been working on his startup. Currently, approximately 20 people are working on his startup from various cities and this startup is catering to 25,000 law students and legal professionals on its platform.
Originally belonging to Kanpur, Mukund’s father relocated to Bhilwara to start his textile business there. Thus, Mukund was raised in Bhilwara itself. When he was 13, he was enrolled in the Birla School Pilani. He did his graduation from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, and later completed his PG studies from Bhilwara.
When asked about his role models, Maheshwari says he has always looked up to his father, a successful businessman. Whether it be a new startup or his family business, he always wanted to become an entrepreneur. His father has always supported him in his decisions and in his business, and thus Mukund admires him as a role model. His father has always taught him to be truthful in whatever he does. Be it a Law Laboratory client or a client from their textile business, his father has always taught him to treat them righteously and in the best possible manner.
Talking about the startup environment in India, entrepreneur Mukund Maheshwari shares that the current government is providing good support to startups. He recommends registering a startup with a government site and checking for the support you can get. All information regarding legal formalities, IPR matters, documentation, and other services can be easily sought from government sites.
Addressing students from any field, Mukund advises them to be consistent with their hard work. He cautions them about the struggling times they may face in their career and to be determined enough to fight through them with courage and hard work.
At the Law Laboratory, anyone can easily reach out to him through various social media platforms like Instagram, Linkedin and Google, where his email and contact numbers are easily available.
