Mukta Vyas is a teacher at the Central Public School, Udaipur.
Mukta grew up in the town, Badi Sadri in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan. She recalls having an active childhood and being close to nature. She did her schooling from there itself.
Growing up, Mukta had always dreamt of becoming a teacher as she liked being around children. So upon completing her education, she joined CPS and has been working there since 17 years.
Talking about the period of struggle in her life, Mukta says that her father’s demise in 2013 had a great impact on her. Topping that, she also had to manage her professional responsibilities while grieving which was quite difficult for her.
Speaking of role models, Mukta says that she gets inspired by diligent people. Thus, she says that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is a huge inspiration for her. She further adds that her late father and the director of CPS - Mrs Alka Sharma are also her inspirations.
Sharing her experience of the COVID pandemic, Mukta says that the first COVID wave gave her the time to rediscover her lost hobbies which she cherished. She is also grateful for the CPS management for being supportive during those adverse times. She further says that reading the Bhagavad Gita during the lockdown proved to be a blessing for her.
Apart from work, Mukta likes travelling and going on trekking expeditions. Till now, she has undertaken about 60 trekking expeditions around Rajasthan, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
Given a chance to revisit the past through a time machine, Mukta would like to meet the relatives that she could not due to some reasons and she would also like to meet former PM of India - Lal Bahadur Shastri. She would have preferred taking up a sport too.
Advising the upcoming generation, she says that you must keep up your integrity and should not go for shortcuts in life. She also assures them that their good work will never go unnoticed so they should keep doing good work.
