Mona Paliwal is the Principal at Miranda Senior Secondary School in Udaipur. She has been working with the school for the past ten years.
Mona completed all her education in Udaipur itself. She did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in English Literature, a Master of Arts degree in Hindi Literature, and a Master of Education degree. In addition, she holds a Fashion Design degree from INIFD.
Talking about her professional journey, Mona says that she started her career as a retail manager. However, she says that she did not get much inner satisfaction in that work, and so she decided to leave that field and become a teacher. Today she is very happy in the teaching field, where she gets self-satisfaction seeing her students achieve new heights.
When asked about her role models, Mona says that she considers a teacher from her school as her role model. She says that her teacher used to try to help each student understand the topic in every way possible, and that she used to understand students’ problems with love while also being strict when there was a mistake. Today, when she herself is a principal, she is trying to follow her teachings and step in her footsteps.
Mona advises the new teachers that they ought to be knowledgeable about the most recent developments as well as their subject. According to her, teachers must comprehend when it's appropriate to be strict with children and when it's appropriate to be friendly.
When asked which is more important in life, education or experience, Mona replies that education is a basic platform to choose one's path, while experience helps one to move forward in the field of their choice. That's why she feels that success in life is not achieved only with the help of education or experience. Both are necessary for success in life, she believes.
If she gets a chance to go back in time via a time machine, Mona would like to go back to her childhood. She says that childhood was such a time when she lived life without any worries, enjoyed every game, and was away from the chaos of life, she would definitely love to relive those days.
Mona advises today's youth to move away from their inclination towards western culture as, due to that, they are leading a very undisciplined life. They should go back to their Indian culture so that they can live a civilized and disciplined life that will bring them success in life.
Mona's success mantra is dedication, devotion, and hard work. She believes in these factors, which bring success to every individual’s life.
Mona advises today's parents that they should spend at least 30 minutes with their children out of their busy schedule and ask about their daily routine. This will also strengthen their bond with the children, and they would be able to understand them and guide them in a better way.
