Mona Joshi was born and brought up in Udaipur. While growing up, she acquired many academic qualifications, including BCA, MCA, LLB, and LLM. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in law from Manikya Lal Verma Shramjeevi College and working as a part-time advocate for her father’s civil engineering firm.
Initially, Mona was discouraged after repeated attempts in CA to pursue her career in computer applications. Later, she pursued law and received a prestigious legal job offer by a corporate firm that integrated both her knowledge of computers and her prowess and interest in law that developed after her graduation in law.
Mona believes that it is acceptable to learn from failure, work in a job that one is most suited to, and not repeat the mistakes of the past. You must make the best of the opportunities around you and never lose hope.
Mona began her formal education at the Maharana Mewar School and later transferred to the Alok Public School, where she finished her higher secondary education. She also actively participated in dancing and playing football during her school time. Mona’s fondest childhood memory includes the time when she got hurt during a football tournament but managed to lead her team to victory nonetheless.
According to Mona, you should be aware of your fundamental rights and strive to protect them or seek assistance whenever you feel your rights have been violated. The profession associated with the judiciary is multifaceted, as it requires knowledge in many fields and solid experience in law. Numerous dimensions and sub-disciplines provide great scope for students pursuing law. For Mona, it has been an encouraging journey; hence, she recommends law as a perfect career choice for students who want to serve the country and provide justice.
During her free time, Mona likes listening to Fateh Ali Khan. Moreover, she likes going on long drives with the family.
If Mona could go back, she wants to go back to her school life.
Mona considers her father her role model. He was the one who taught her how to remain calm despite struggles in life, learn from mistakes, and keep a positive attitude in life.
Mona believes that education is crucial because it not only promotes literacy but also in-depth knowledge that aids in helping us choose a career. She does, however, caution us against engaging in rote learning in the classroom because it is never beneficial in the long run. One needs to acquire relevant educational experience and learn outside the classroom.
Experiencing life and rising to challenges sharpens what one learns at school. Giving her own example, Mona says that having knowledge in multiple streams has helped her decide and choose her career efficiently. She likes to believe that the knowledge and experience gained are never wasted.
On a concluding note, Mona asks students to never stray from the correct path and always believe in themselves, no matter how difficult the challenges of life may be. She genuinely believes in the youth of the country and believes that proper guidance for youth would benefit all because they are the future of the country.
