As an Assistant Professor in an Engineering College, Mohit Kumar Sharma has persevered to earn respect and dignity.

Mohit Kumar Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering department of Pacific Institute of Technology, Udaipur. As an Assistant Professor, his duties include teaching the students, conducting extracurricular activities, and monitoring exams. Moreover, as a part of the Civil Engineering team, he supervises the industrial visits, expert lectures, conferences, and webinars for all-around practical learning of the students.

Mohit belongs to the Bhilwara district and completed his schooling at a Hindi medium school. Then, he moved to Udaipur and did B.Tech from the Pacific Institute of Technology. Currently, he is in the process of applying for post-graduate studies.

After graduation, he started as a lecturer in the same institute and worked for two years. Then, he shifted to Techno India NJR, where he taught for almost one and a half years before rejoining Pacific Institute. Coming from a Hindi medium background, the initial engineering days were a little tough for him. Subsequently, he understood the terminology and grasped the language and concepts by the end of the course. Similarly, in the work realm, the initial months were a little overwhelming, but gradually he acquired the required teaching skills.

Mohit says that the in-depth self-study during his college helps him to teach and clarify the concepts to his students. As a teacher, he feels that every student is his responsibility. He gives one-to-one focus on the students and gives them assignments for their improvement. His friendly approach and teaching style has a long-term impact on his students. Even after the course, they still contact him for his valuable guidance. Mohit feels happy and proud to help them and see them succeed.

Mohit wants to pursue a doctoral degree and deliver much better teaching. He also wants to do research work and contribute to the nation.

When free, he invests his time in music, movies, studying, and seeking job opportunities. His family is his motivation to achieve success in life. He says that “my family deserves to see my success.”

Mohit urges everyone to invest in some form of charity and social work as he does. He has organised camps and donated blood during his four years of engineering. Now he donates to orphanages on a monthly or bimonthly basis. Lastly, he advises everyone to stay in touch with their family and friends for a daily boost of motivation.
