Mohd Talib is a mountain climber at Nainital, Uttarakhand. He is enthusiastic about bringing more and more youngsters into this field.

Talib is a professional mountain climber. He collaborates with different schools and takes part in their Outdoor Educational Programmes to provide knowledge of mountaineering to the new generation. Presently he is settled in Nainital, Uttarakhand.

Born in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, Talib was not aware of mountaineering in his childhood. He liked to travel to places but had no knowledge about climbing. He used to search for different places in India in his map books. He wished to go to those places to know and explore them.

Talib shares he completed his graduation from Aligarh Muslim University. There he joined the Adventure Club. He used to go on different adventurous trips. The most challenging trip was to Sahastradhara, Dehradun. There he faced a lot of challenges and came to know about the difficulties of mountaineering. From that day onwards, he started collecting information about a mountaineering course.

Talking about his mountaineering courses, Talib says he went to Mount Abu, Rajasthan to join a basic course. His training started with Rock Climbing. He faced new challenges daily. After some struggle, he went to Manali for different courses in mountaineering. And then he went to Kashmir for the Advance course in the same field. He has done a peak summit in Kashmir. Then for his last adventure course, he went to Darjeeling’s HMI Institute.

During Covid, Talib was in his village. He used to go to different places to provide vegetables to people. He also got an opportunity to spend time with his family after many years.

If Talib is given a Time Machine then definitely he would like to go back to his childhood. Secondly, he would like to go back and join a mountaineering course at an early age.

For all of us, Talib says if you feel that anything is wrongly written in your life’s book, then he advises that you should not take those mistakes seriously. Live for yourself and work for your own satisfaction. Strive for your goal and never give up.

For youngsters, Talib suggests that you should take your goal with determination. If you never give up then definitely you will reach your destination. Don’t strive to become only a doctor or engineer. There are other things also in which you can excel. Also, Talib says that we should never take shortcuts in life.

For parents, Talib advises them to pay attention to the hobbies of their children. Study is important but going ahead with hobbies is also important, he thinks.

Talib is happy that nowadays more and more children are entering into adventurous activities. This is because of the collaborations taken up by Talib with the International Schools.
