A professional Cricket player, Mohd. Farhan Khan believes in holding himself accountable for his faults and improving upon them to be a better version of himself.

Mohd. Farhan Khan is a professional Cricket player who has played for the Rajasthan Cricket Team.

Mohd. Farhan started playing Cricket as a fun activity when he was young. He participated in various inter-school Cricket tournaments. On one occasion, when he was playing Cricket in an inter-school tournament he happened to catch the attention of the Chief Guest Manoj Choudhary there who was a Cricket coach too. He advised Farhan to join a Cricket academy if he wanted to play professionally.

In 2012, he was selected for an India Camp. That’s when he realised his potential and started aiming to play for the country. Then he played for many tournaments and trophies and performed well in the tournaments.

Mohd. Farhan was born and raised in Udaipur. He studied at St. Paul’s School. He says that at his school, playing sports was always encouraged and it motivated him to play Cricket.

Talking about struggles in his life, Farhan says that he played for the under-14 Udaipur cricket team at the school level. But when he started playing professionally he couldn’t get selected in the Udaipur team owing to the competition. And instead, he was selected for the Baran team. So hailing from Udaipur and playing for some other district’s team was a setback for him, but he worked hard, proved his mettle and subsequently made an entry in the Udaipur team.

Talking about his achievements in life, Farhan says that earlier, the Rajasthan Cricket Team wouldn’t be considered competitive enough by teams of other states. During one match between Rajasthan and U.P., he strived and played really well and gave the other team a tough match. He was also the Man-of-the-Series of an inter-university Cricket tournament in which around one fifty teams participated.

Farhan says that Cricket has a lot of scope and one can do very well professionally in it. But he advises the aspiring cricketers that this game is very competitive and you have to remain patient to sustain the competition and make a name for yourself. Besides, he says that there will be many problems on the personal and professional front, but you should not surrender to tough times in life.

Farhan says that playing Cricket has given him a lot of recognition. Even though he is an MBA, people know him as a cricketer only. Farhan adds that a sportsman’s life is not at all easy. They have to live a disciplined life and manage their time well. He too has been very disciplined since a young age to play Cricket.

During the Covid pandemic, Farhan says that he couldn’t go out to practise Cricket and do physical exercises. He started doing physical exercises at his home and devised different ways to keep him fit. He also advises people to play sports or do physical exercises as it helps in increasing the immunity of the body and keeps us fit.

Farhan draws his inspiration from Yuvraj Singh who played exceedingly well as a Cricketer. Besides, he also considers his friend Dishant Yagnik as his inspiration who despite all the odds in life never gave in.

Farhan believes that we should hold ourselves accountable for whatever bad happens in our lives be it personal or professional.
