Mohan Lal Trivedi is a Retired Librarian, and has served Sukhadia University, Udaipur for thirty-three years.
Mohan Lal belongs to Badgaon village in Udaipur.
After studying in Vidya Bhawan School till fifth in Badgaon, he completed his schooling from Kanwarpada Higher Secondary School in Udaipur city. Then he did a Certification Course in Library Science from Rajasthan University. Thereafter, he did his first job at Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute for four years. Then in 1968, he worked in CTAE College Library for a couple of years. Alongside his job, he also did BA and MA from a night college so as to manage both job and studies. Then he did B.Sc in Life Science from MLSU. After that, he got a promotion in his job and worked on the post of Assistant Librarian in the University Central Library till his retirement.
About his childhood memories, Mohan Lal says that as a child he attended basic school and also used to do several works related to industries, farming, repair, spinning and knitting clothes by which he used to earn money to cover his fees and other expenses. He also used to run a Youth Circle to motivate villagers to donate more labor and do public work in order to maintain cleanliness in the village. Besides this, he was ahead in organizing cultural activities and sports tournaments to play football, volleyball, kabaddi and other outdoor games.
Mohan Lal considers Mohan Singh Mehta, Kesari Lal Bordia, Kalu Lal Srimali, Deen Dayal Yashoda and Dayal Chandra Soni as his role models because they were Gandhian people and worked all day and night to build schools and colleges in the city and for the welfare of people.
During the Covid pandemic, Mohan Lal did not go out of his house and kept everything organized at home along with cleanliness. He spent good time with his family by watching TV and playing games with them. He followed all the Covid protocols and guidelines issued by the Government and also got vaccinated from time to time.
Mohan Lal advises the young generation to do everything from the smallest work to the biggest task be it studies, job, helping parents, doing household chores or cultural activities. By keeping everything coordinated, their family, household, village, city and even country would be able to develop well. At the same time, he suggests them to live their life with natural things to have a healthy lifestyle.
In his spare time, Mohan Lal likes to learn something or the other by reading newspapers, books, novels and stories.
