Inspired by his father, Mohan has been engaged in his family’s traditional business and carrying forward his predecessor's legacy.

Mohan Marvada is a leather artisan at Kutch Craft Shop.

Mohan hails from a small village named Rudramata near Bhuj.

Recalling his childhood, Mohan says that he grew up in an environment where he saw his father engaged in the leather business. After completing his matriculation, he started helping his father in his business. His entire family, including his brother and female members, contribute to the work. The male members do the leather work, and the females do the embroidery work. He says that he learned everything from his father.

Mohan says that he did think of doing a job initially but decided to engage in their family business as it provided him with flexibility of time. He describes the process of making leather products such as dyeing, coloring and shaping leather to create the final product.

In his spare time, Mohan likes to surf social media and promote his products on different websites.
